Be aware! Hüttn has moved to Bergstrasse 20. But relax, it is nearby the old location. I think they have overtaken the premises of the former "Zum Sudhaus" Nice wooden interior inside and a rather large sitting area outside. I guess Hüttn needed more space. Altstadthof is located right across the street. Friendly and helpful staff and a good range of Franconian beers. Tasty food too. Smokey George was a special experience, but I liked it! A pub I will gladly return to. (Visited April 30th 2012)
Great Place for a Meal and a fresh beer. The staff and especially the owner are very helpful and welcoming. The Bavarian food is great and the atmosphere is charming. THe beer selection is good but not vast.
Good local food and a nice selection of typical local beers. Service was absolutely awesome and also in English.
We were able to get food and service even though the place was really booked for that night.
If I ever visit Nuremberg again, this is the first place where I’m headed!
Visited August 2013. Sat outside on benches with tables. Pleasant. Tried two dunkels from country breweries and both were good, the Meister Vollbier especially. Didn’t get a look at the inside, but would like to on a return trip.
Came in on a Wednesday at lunchtime and every single table was reserved, so I took a seat at the bar area, which was cosy enough. The location is much bigger than the last place with a much less cluttered decor, which is quite nice. Otherwise basically the same, friendly service, very good and cheap food and the same beerlist as before. Some extra points for being the only place in Nürnberg I know of that serve the Rittmayer Smokey George.
Visited Hütt’n in mid September 2012. It has recently moved across the street, from Bergstrasse 19 to 20, giving it a more spacy interior and a nice outdoor terrace by the sidewalk. I had several very good local Franconian beers, both on draft and bottle, and the bartender gave me good recommendations and backgrounds on the various breweries. The food was good and filling and the service reasonably fast. All in all a very good beer pub.
In my opinion an overrated place .. I mean it’s a good place in the city centre close to the castle with nice interior two good beers on tap and a decent selection of bottles but I visited better places in Bavaria and even in nunberg ... We enjoyed our visit and the food is more than good and if you’re in town go there without hesitation ...
Still a good beer venue but list now getting a bit drab. Plus full of non beer aficionados, in fact someone ordered a water! He should have gone to one of the thousands of Tucher pubs! Good luck to this venture who are clearly aiming at the masses now rather than us, fair play as there will be more money there! I am delighted all my above negatives can be turned into positives now their old site has reopened with a top former manager doing what he is best at.

Nice little pub that we (me & Loz) visited on Tuesday 5th June 2012, we sat outside as this was one of those rare occasions on this holiday when the sun was shining. We did venture in, to briefly check out the interior and nip to the toilet and it looked really nice inside in fact appearing much older than the exterior would suggest. I had a Fischer Rauchbier, Loz had a Weiss forgot the name but it was very good. Service was good, place was nice, beer choice excellent. As another poster has already commented on, it would appear that this place has recently moved, but only a relatively short distance.
