I finally got around to visiting this lambic mecca. The best thing to do is to get the bus their and back, which is good value and fairly quick. The place is rather small and has a traditional feel to it with plenty of brewery/lambic paraphernalia kicking about. The beer selection is rather special with plenty of old lambic at rather reasonable prices. Yes it’s true that I’d tried a lot of it before, but having it all in one place at this price is great. Even though the place was very busy the service was still very good. I urge any lambic-lover to make the journey.

Finally made it to this reputed café with the weirdest opening hours. Rustic, very old fashioned environment both inside and outside, clearly an old ’volkscafé’ turned into a heaven for lambic hunters. Needless to say, it was extremely busy when we got there, and it took more than half an hour before we could even begin to make our order. I would therefore recommend to order everything you want to consume at once in order to avoid having to wait for another half hour - especially since the pub closes at 1:30 PM (though it was already 2:30 PM when we left the place as the last customers). Lambic selection is evidently great, with some rare vintages at, in all, quite reasonable prices. The two brothers who own it clearly know what they are doing and are open to a chat about lambic any time. Very pleasant, friendly atmosphere and a terrific experience for a lambic lover like myself, too bad it is near impossible to get there if you do not have a designated driver with car.

Visited the 2nd May 2015 during the Toer de Geuze - This place is just amazing. This small bar opens every Sunday is the heaven for Geuze lovers ! It’s a must to visit if you like all og them. The decoration is reall smart and very nice it looks like as a old pub. The counter is in marble and really nice. The service is smart and great. About the selection, just amazing and the prices are really smart ! Highly recommended ! It’s better to visit it on a sunny day to go outside and enjoy the place !

Very nice little café in pajottenland. Visited on tour the geuze and café wasnt overcrowded as expected. Service tends to be slow, but i feel that’s how it should be. Selection was excellent, prices very reasonable. Will definitely return soon.

Fantastic place, you want to imagine this being like an old days lambic café. Friendly service, but quite slow when the place is busy. QUirky opening hours, and a bit difficult to get there and back to Brussels.

Visited on numerous Sundays over the past couple years as well as after Toer de Geuze 2013. Some of my most memorable drinking experiences have been here, and no trip to Belgium is complete for me without a visit. The bar looks and feels exactly what I imagine an old school traditional lambic cafe to be. The selection of lambic is as good as it gets. Several casks of unblended lambic along with a huge bottle list containing numerous vintage bottles at prices that can’t be beat. Yves and Kurt are great hosts and love to chat about beer. Truly a must visit bar for any lambic lover.

have not set foot there for many years now -it being in my village of birth-, we spent many sunny sunday afternoons there, being young. Brings back memories, and it does confirm: it was always a top place to be.And the selection of beers remains what we had over the years.

Probably not much more I can say than what has already been written, this is an amazing little lambic lovers paradise with opening hours that could only be stranger if it were open only on Monday mornings. Totally unique, there’s really nothing else like it. By the church square in a small village, it’s full (on a Sunday morning) of mostly older locals enjoying lambic with a scattering of lambic loving tourists and others that have made the pilgrimage. Oh, and the beer selection is pretty good too with some real gems at fair and not excessive prices. Well worth the visit, but chances are you knew that already...

Visited here during another Belgium trip. Was really crowded, but a great atmosphere. Old locals enjoying lambics, few tourists around. Staff was busy, but ready to serve anytime. Excellent lambic selection going on, as to expected since this bar calls itself "The House of Lambics’. Nothing wrong there. We had an excellent lambic and left after that. Great place.

Excellent lambic and geuze selection at this family run cafe. This is a quintessential authentic local cafe in the Payottenland. If you like lambics, or just want to experience them in a great location, this place is not to be missed.
