Wonderful old pub open on Sundays only after church.. The local marching band stopped in while here for some oompah music and singing (for free beer). Crazy beer and glass collection will make you drool and run out of pocket money fast. Good grub too. Run by Yves and Kurt Panneels and family...Fun place....

Way outside of Brussels with super limited hours, but its worth figuring it all out. A true local spot, we were the only non locals there. Unreal selection of lambics, top 5 in the world by far. This is more of stop than De Heeren to me.

Well, I’m not a lover of the most beers they serve over there, but for what I’ve seen, they have a nice collection for those who likes it. Nice, very friendly staff, and a very good atmosphere over there. The prices seems a bit high, and the outside could use a make-over, but that is not ruining this one.

WAAAUUWW. Insane bottle list. All the classics in various vintages at reasonable prices. BUT what maked my day was the atmosphere. Friendly hosts and locals. A great experience.

This is really a hidden gem and has loads of charm. The weather was great so we could sit outside in the sun watching the village church and drink lambic. The place was fairly quiet until church ended and churchgoers were ready for the more amusing part of their morning. It’s best to arrive before church ends, if you want a table. The service was really friendly and knew their beers. The selection of lambics is very good, although they cannot compete with the best bars. Great place for a relaxed Sunday morning.

One of my top places! This bar has everything - the atmosphere of decades ago (when there was waaaay more such bars), friendly service (the two brothers and their mother!) and an incredible selection of lambics and gueuzes, vintage bottles as well. A must see for every Sour/Lambic fan!

Very authentic lambic café filled with locals having a lambic or a kriek after the mass. Great beer list at affordable prices. More to come, promised the landlady. Worth a detour on a sunday morning.

Octobre 2011. Bonne amatrice de Gueuze je devais aller dans ce bar. Direction la Belgique par un dimanche matin. Arrivée dans ce petit village, j’ai trouvé le bar avec son nom imprononçable (pour moi Française!) qui se trouve aux abords de l’église. Il y a vraisemblablement une clientèle d’habitués. Dégustation d’une 3 fonteinen framboise et une avec des ’cerises de Schaerbeek’. On voit que les patrons sont des collectionneurs et grands connaisseurs de gueuzes. J’aimerais posséder la même cave !

Out of this world place for Lambiek and Geuze lovers. The authentic little café looks and feels very cosy, it is heated by a charming old woodstove and the interior has the perfect 1930’s feeling. The ambiance is great and there are always lots of locals and international beertourists from all over the world enjoying a good Geuze, Lambiek, Kriek, Orval, Westmalle ect.... All the beers are served in the correct glassware and at the right temperature. The selection of the Geuzes, Lambiek and Krieks is simply amazing. All the big Geuze names are on the list but they also have lots of very rare and hard to find stuff in the cellar. Plenty of old to very old vintages, simply stuff to dream of. Lots of gems from breweries like Eylenbosch, Timmermans, Cantillon, Girardin, Old Belle Vue, 3 Fonteinen and lots of others. They also offer the rare " Geuze op ’t Kasteel " wish is a very sought after one. This place is fantastic and the people who runs it are the perfect ambassadors for the nectar we call Geuze, Lambiek and Kriek. Respect for tradition and passion for the local beer is what makes this place so unique. I had a great time and enjoyed some amazing beers.

Hard to find out in the middle of the tiny town. Extremely small quaint feel to it, hops all over the ceiling, solid bottle list but not completely up to date. Almost never open but open enough for us to get in for some morning lambic and hang out with uli talking lambic blending. Fun spot, virtually no one there, some after church crowd of the locals.
