I was here during the Night of Great Thirst. They had Eylenbosch Kriek on tap and Eylenbosch Gueuze and Extra Faro in bottles for the event. Me and another guy asked to see the regular beer list and they they showed it to us. A really great list with lots of Lambics from all (or almost all) Lambic makers, some of them are quite rare. We enjoyed a bottle of 05 3 Fonteinen Schaerbeekse Kriek and I took home two Selection Lambic bottles for 25E each as well as an 1984 Eylenbosch Gueuze (AMAZING!) for 10 or 15E. They even took us to their cellar which was a very interesting experience - loads and loads of Lambic bottles all over with an always-slightly-wet floor. Too bad about the very limited opening time, this place is great and should be visited by more beer lovers.

Very nice and cosy bar. The selection of lambics is outstanding. Also some very rare beers. Prices are good, staff is very friendly. A must go!

Great but slightly strange place. I had the misfortune of turning up with a hangover so probably couldn’t enjoy it as much as I would have liked. Comfortable and with good service and of course the selection is tough to beat. From Brussels it’s just one bus ride, but it does take about an hour. Worth it though.

Nice old Lambicland boozer with crazy hours, as you know. The owners were very kind and friendly. Not geeky, but just doing this like they always have. Has to be one of the 2 or 3 best selections of lambic in the world. Not much else, mind you. Prices are quite fair compared to other places. If you want rare, you pay for it, but there were many things we had not tried for very reasonable prices. Fantastic place to visit. Worth the trip in every respect.

It was hard getting there but it was really worth the effort. The opening hours aren’t that welcoming either but they got an incredible lineup of lambics. Some exclusive stuff and a great cuvée list. It is one of the absolutly coolest places I have visited and it has an amazing atmospere!

It surprised me I never gave this pub a rating, although I’ve been going here for some years now. Great atmosphere, a typical ’Pajottenland’ bar full of vintage beer signs and stuff. The owners are very friendly people. Great selection of lambic beers, sometimes they have a special like a cask of Eylenbosch kriek ’89 on ’Day of the Kriek’. Value is good, vintage bottles have their prices. Recently I was there for ’Tour de Geuze’ and ’Day of the Kriek’ and the barbecue was awesome, organised by people from the area who make their own ’pensen’, typical white or black sausages (black pudding). On sunny days you can just get your beer in the bar and take a seat on the grass fields around, lovely!

Visited during Tour de Geuze 2013. Very, very charming place with a great history located in a tiny village – indeed looks lovely across the church. Very adorable. Atmosphere is top. Beers offer the full standard range of lambic brew’s which are always fun to drink. Prices for these are good. There is also rarer stuff, prices for which are slightly ridiculous I feel. Not much that I haven’t had before, probably very little new finds if you have been trying out lambic’s for some time. Or maybe I have just had more lambic’s than most & they do have a very large part of the existing range. Either way I would mainly recommend this place for its wonderful atmosphere & sense of history.

The ABSOLUTE BEST experience I’ve ever had at a bar! ...despite the ridiculous hours. Vintage lambic list is incredible, perhaps only topped by Akkurat and maybe DHVL (but it’s close). Prices are probably the most reasonable in the whole country -- as of May 2013, Hommage was 45€, for example. Atmosphere is just wonderful, with mostly elderly locals comprising the clientele. We arrived early (around 9:40am; opening is 10am), and the owners’ parents greeted us shortly thereafter, inviting us in early. Both the owners and parents were extremely friendly and warm. Accessible by one bus (#128) from Gare du West -- make sure you’re in Belgium on a Sunday so you can visit this amazing place.

I finally got around to visiting this lambic mecca. The best thing to do is to get the bus their and back, which is good value and fairly quick. The place is rather small and has a traditional feel to it with plenty of brewery/lambic paraphernalia kicking about. The beer selection is rather special with plenty of old lambic at rather reasonable prices. Yes it’s true that I’d tried a lot of it before, but having it all in one place at this price is great. Even though the place was very busy the service was still very good. I urge any lambic-lover to make the journey.
