86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 Strykzone (78) Wood River, Illinois | January 12, 2013 Been to ITAP several times and always find it to be a great beer bar. Last night found ITAP very busy. Some dogs were playing in the patio area. Wish we had brought ours. I had an ODell Lugene Chocolate Milk Stout and my wife had wine. There are always new releases to be found along with many classics. The staff know their stuff and are top notch. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 16/20 ryanfolty (154) Minneapolis, Minnesota | November 13, 2012 Stopped in with some co-workers to grab a couple beers. It was fairly empty and low key on a Tuesday night. Not a huge place, but had some character to it and was in an area with a couple other bars. Service was pretty good, though one of the beers I selected was out and she replaced it with another without asking me. Being a "ticker" I was a tad concerned, but it ended up being something new so all was good. Nice amount of taps and bottles, though nothing that got me excited. A flight of 5 four ounce pours cost $14, which seemed to be on the high end. No food as others have mentioned, but you can order from nearby restaurants if desired. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD 3/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 18/20 dwaggs2 (26) Jefferson City , Missouri | September 5, 2012 Great little place. Great atmosphere. Plenty of seating. TVs on all the big games. I wasn’t there for the games, I was there for the beer. Huge selection on tap and in the bottle. They rotate what they have on selection. Some special rare to find stuff. Great service lady was very friendly. Decent on the price. Smaller food menu. I will be stopping in here again. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 cbfobes (25) Madison, Wisconsin | August 6, 2012 Spent this past weekend in St. Louis and this was by far the best beer stop we made. The atmosphere is very laid back. When we visited they had some reps from Stone there and they tapped the 10th Anniversary . Huge bottle selection and 44 taps, all of which were awesome. If you are in town visiting this has to be a must stop. The taps were a tad pricey but it was very much worth it. | 96 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 19/20 Shep133 (26) St. Louis, Missouri | July 24, 2012 It doesn’t get much better than this. Huge selection of bottles and taps which change constantly - usually the best selection in St. Louis. The brick restaurant has lots of room inside with an assortment of places to sit including couches and comfy chairs. The outside patio is very large with an interesting fountain. You can bring food with you, order-in, or go to the attached pizza place next door and order. They will bring it to you at the bar. The service is great and the bartenders know a large portion of the "regulars." Events and special pricing is a regular coinsurance here. They also sell bottles to go. | 84 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 ultrashuai (25) Bloomington, Indiana | March 13, 2012 The two things I really loved about this place were the foyer and the patio. This is the best patio that I could see in Soulard, and that’s where most people were on the nice afternoon we came in. The front of the bar has a couple of couches in a circle, partially illuminated by the window. The wall by the door is a mural of their logo made of beer bottle caps. Very nice touch.
Concrete floors, very black and kind of dark inside. There are lots of different seating areas though, and it makes it easy to sort of have your own space. A number of TVs throughout the space.
Selections seem to change constantly. When we came, the printed menu was outdated and we had to go mostly with what was on the wall. Interesting selection, tending toward local, but putting a lot of good national craft micros as well as a few international ones.
I had to go for the Belgian sour. I can’t resist. But we had a pint of some local stuff as well. Bartender was extremely generous with the samples after I asked a few questions and let her know I was looking to focus on the local stuff.
They do a local $3 pint night, which seems like a great deal and have other specials throughout the week.
Food is pizza served by Epic Pizza next door. There was actually a door that connected the two.
This place seems to get extremely busy. We came at a random time on a weekend and it was a lot more full than I thought it would be. It would be a great place to sit out on the patio and have a beer on a summer night, but I’m sure other people would have the same idea. Definitely worth a visit though, if just to check out this great neighborhood. | 88 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 17/20 csaso (126) Missouri | July 12, 2011 Amazing selection of beer from everywhere! Need to serve some food though. | 90 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 15/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 tjern16 (11) Alabama | July 8, 2011 These guys have a great model and idea of a bar. Alot of fun. Very good beer selection. | 82 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 16/20 Terminus (278) Las Cruces, New Mexico | June 26, 2011| Updated July 2, 2012 yet another place that has opened in STL since i moved away. an AWESOME bar-great staff, proper glassware and a really cool atmosphere. this is a MUST for those in or visiting STL. One of the best beer bars in the region. I always run into old friends everytime i come back to this place. This IS the go-to beer bar in STL. The Bridge would be second. | 92 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 19/20 Finhead (16) OFallon, Illinois | June 7, 2011 A great place to drink, though the patio could be nicer. 500+ beer to choose from with ever-rotating taps. There is a helpful staff and beer guide. |
