Early in the day, just after opening, so quiet of course. I’d dropped by the previous evening and found a bit too much hubbub for my taste.
Leggy young female staff in short kilts, hoo hoo! Place has the look and feel of an institution, rather than just a pub.
Not a beer Mecca, unless you happen to love Phillips’ offerings and the Irish standards.

A very nice building and interior. Not really a beergeek destination like Garrick’s Head Pub nearby but they do have a decent tap selection and the food out of the kitchen is pub-average. I’m usually keen to go elsewhere but won’t stray away from here should interesting people make reservations for a night out. Prepare to be ignored by serving staff.

I was there for a beer launch party, so my review may not be accurate for a typical night. Typical Irish style bar. Service was bot horrible and great depending on our servers, so inconsistent. they launch had a bunch of beers but with that many taps I think their selection would be pretty decent. The apps I had were good, but free so value is off. There are so many good places in walking distance, that unless you like live music which they have lots off, move on.

We had a bit of an epic afternoon and night. I think between the three of us, we had at least one of everything on tap, plus a good selection of the food - all of which was excellent. Authentic live music - which was piped across the pub through the soundsystem. Only downside were the yobs at the table near us who - no lie - puked on the floor, and then told the server it was some random guy. But, hey, you can’t always choose your neighbours.

Was in Victoria on a rainy september weekend just after the end of the tourist season and the last cruise ship of the year just left. Not much going on and was cold so i wandered into a warm looking Irish pub. Boy what a find, huge selection of beers on tap ranging from Irish beers to Local brews. I stuck to Guinness, had an order of some good fish and chips and chicken wings glazed with a Guinness BBQ sauce. Food was good, great ambiance, soccer on the tv, and the place was packed despite the rest of town being dead.

More great times to be had at the Irish Times Pub. 30 more taps and great Irish food this was beer paradise along Government street in Victoria. I found some great Irish beers here and along with the local fair I was set. The bartenders knew the beers and when it came to pouring a Black and Tan it was near perfect. We had a great time if your looking for fun Victoria sure has it share and the beers are awesome.
