Cozy all wooden bar with tables similar feel to Smoke and Barrel in Adams Morgan. Decent tap list with Guinness, Smithwick, bulmers cider, but then sierra Nevada hoptimun, flying Dog green tea imperial stout, and other C level craft stuff like hoegaarden and fat tire. Some pretty impressive iris whiskey selection to boot with bottles I didnít recognize served in proper glassware. Food was pretty good, fancier looking menu. Fries rocked, truffle mac n cheese quite good, portobello burger was unseasoned sadly. Fun place, decent beer, good atmosphere. Chill overall for its downtown location.

As the name implies, the thing here is the whiskey. This place has the three things that mark a good whiskey place for me: a large and varied selection; a knowledgeable staff; and the possibility of tastes or flights. However, the flights here are pretty much by brand, so you can try four things from Bushmills, for instance; Iíd rather be able to try a more varied mix and match. By the way, Iím talking about whiskeys so much because the beer list is not very exciting, although they did have both a more unusual DC Brau offering and one from Atlas when I stopped by. Itís certainly nothing on the scale of Jack Rose, which would be my preferred spot both for whiskey and for beer.

Been here a few times and it is not much of a beer destination. Last time i sat at an uncrowded bar for 10 minutes and was not served or attended to by the bartender so i walked out. I was going to order a Duck Rabbit that i think i had not had.

Okay wooden tables/bar with sort of sticky down atmosphere. Had a nice lunch here and some beers. They have a lot of the more well known beers but a few locals worth trying. Okay when in the area.
