If your into pubs and bar design this place is definitely worth a visit. Old victorian pub full of "exotic glamour" intricate mirrors and wood work. Apparently the landlord who opened it had an obsession with the exotic and cruise liners, if this is true you can see the influence it had on the design. Beers were nothing special usual line up of lagers and then a few things like sierra nevada on tap. 2 minutes walk form the earl of essex so make sure to check it out if youíre near by. Worth having a half just for the interior.

Nice little bar, in a residential spot a short walk from Angel, and not miles away from the Wenlock Arms. High ceiling, ornate mirrors, fairy lights, dark wood, board games. Somewhere in between a traditional Victorian pub and a modern bar. The only thing they havenít thought about it the flooring - a grotty lino job. Four casks - Fullers, Landlord, Doom Bar. On keg - Brains Craft, Becks, Guinness, Meantime - all pretty standard stuff, although they also had Odells Cutthroat on keg and some Flying Dog in the fridge. So the beers arenít inspiring by any means and it doesnít have a big draw for beer geeks, but it seems like a nice place to chill out with friends
