So I went in here the other day and asked for a sampler flight. They responded "Oh Iím sorry we donít have any of our own beers right now, but we have bottles of other beers". I said thanks anyways and walked out. Fortunately their other location had some beers.

Airway Blvd location. This is a decent brewpub in El Paso. Definitely has a sports bar/restaurant feel. Good service- the bartender let us try all of the beers for free (decent sample sizes too) before we ordered our pints. The beers were average to below average. The amber was pretty good, but the IPA, lager, raspberry wheat, and light lager were less good (though palatable). The food is pretty much all Southwestern fare and I quite enjoyed my chicken tortilla soup and salad. Overall, a decent stop, but if you go for the beer alone youíll be disappointed.

Airway Blvd Location. Has sort of a saloon atmosphere. The brewery is visable behind the bar. The staff is quite friendly and the beer selection is decent but they always seem to out of one of the regular brews every time I visit. I wish they made a couple of brews with a bit more charactor. As the only brewery in El Paso its not too bad. I enjoyed to Andale Pale Ale the best and was a bit dissapointed blandness of the Stout. The Borderland Lager goes best with food due to being a bit bland and is served with a lime wedge. They have a decent menu with local favorites and a daily special or two. It seem to be more of a restaurant with a brewery on the side.

Airway Blvd. location. Roadhouse ambiance, but family friendly. Couldnít get the four beer sampler cause they said they were out of 5 oz glasses! Nice selection and prices on the food and beer. 7 house taps, but out of the 3 lagers, which I didnít mind one bit. Very nice and friendly service.

Visited on the way back from New Mexico (Airway location)- Decent size parking lot, interior needs a remodel though- looked kind of dark and dated. Able to see some of the brewing equipment through a window behind the bar which is a plus though. Food- starter (SW egg rolls) and desert (apple pie) where nothing short of awesome, but the main was lackluster (dry bun with dry burger), menu had plenty of selection though, and decent in portion size and price. Beer- one good one, one bad one. Service- wow, I think she was paid by the hour per customer because she was milking it. Was a little lax until I waited the check to drop, which took 20 minutes (timed, with a witness) after desert was done. Two serious knocks- 1. Could not order the sampler for the beer, had to order by the glass. Seriously, get your shit together guys. Speaking of shit...2. Note by management in the bathroom, written in English and Spanish, to not only clean your hands after youíre finished, but to use toliet paper and to flush in in the toliet afterwards. If I would have seen the former before I had sat down and ate instead of using the facilities before I left, I would have turned right around and not ate or drank. If I had a choice between going back or having a root canal performed through my ass, let me undo my pants...

In the past I visited the Airways location every time I was in El Paso (monthly prior to retirement). Food & service are always good. The Andale IPA is one of the best ever. Itís worth a trip if you are a hop head just to try it. It ranks up there with Stone Ruination, Bells Hop Slam, & Green Flash.

Airway location: I liked this place. The bartender was friendly. they embrace UTEP as their school. It was a pretty mellow place for a saturday night. All of the brewing equipment is right behind the bar so tha is cool. The best thing about this place is the 8 sampler cactus (you have to see it) is only a $1.75!!!!!!! I had the sampler, a free sample and a 10 oz of the IPA and my bill was $4.

3 locations in El Paso (see web site), I went to the Airway location. Average brew pub with average beers (except the Andale IPA that I found excellent!!). Sample trays available!
