Met up with a couple friends here and enjoyed the nice weather at the patio seating. Nice selection on tap and the bottle list was solid as well. Prices on the reserve bottles were a bit high. Offered smaller sample sizes, which is always appreciated. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Only negative is street parking, though I got lucky this time with a close free spot.
Unique sandwich shop that can feel kinda cramped even when it’s not full. An impressive beer selection both bottles and tap wise including the occasional nitro and firkin tap.They host quite a few beer-centric events too. Whoever writes up their menus is definitely a beer geek as every sandwich has a suggested beer pairing and the beer menu has tasting notes regarding the beer. The sandwiches are hit or miss - I’ve had some really good ones, and some that I wondered why I ordered it - but I suppose that’s the gambit you take for a place that prides itself on creating "artistic" sandwiches. It’s maybe a bit over-prices, but I’ve done much worse in Chicago as far as paying more for poor quality.
Jerry’s is one of the reasons I miss living in Wicker Park. Great sandwiches, although I have a tough time moving past the Dieterich - who can resist steak, blackened chicken, avocado, aged white cheddar, mayo, and adobo sauce? During the summer, the gazpacho is great too.
The atmosphere is relaxed and more suitable for lunch than dinner, in my mind. Although any time can be a great time to grab a couple of beers and relax though. The service reflects this mentality, however, and most of the time the waitstaff seems to be absent.
The beer list has always been a strong point and seems to be getting even better. Their tap list is always changing. Their bottle list is pretty huge - I think it has gotten to 200 different bottles, although they have a few that seem overpriced.
Overall, the sandwiches are great, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the beer list is better than solid. They charge premium prices and the prices seem to be creeping up, but they definitely deliver a premium product.

Came here with my girl for lunch and drinks in July 2011.
VIBE: we sat on the patio, which had a nice view of the streetscape. Generous spacing between tables offered some privacy for patrons. Crowd was kinda yuppyish (lots of people tapping away on their smart phones), but thankfully they kept to themselves.
SERVICE: our server was righteous with a big chip on his shoulder. He failed to explain that you HAVE to order side dishes with your sandwich, and neglected to say where those sides were located on the menu. He did a decent job of describing the hoppy beers on tap and made great food recommendations; however, when I was paying our bill, he "forgot" to bring the change back to the table, so I decided not to leave a tip.
SELECTION: the draught lineup was one of the best that I encountered in Chicago. Ridiculous taps such as Firestone Walker Red Nectar, Port Mongo Double IPA, Bruery Orchard Wit, Goose Island Fleur, and Rogue John John Dead Guy cluttered the menu. Bottle list included top notch offerings from Anderson Valley, Half Acre, and Left Hand, as well as most of the world class American IPAs. I ordered a 3Floyds Alpha King Pale Ale, which I hadn’t tried before coming here. My girlfriend really enjoyed her cocktail.
FOOD: I had the Cuban with barbecue beans and mac & cheese while the lady went for a Grilled Chicken Caesar. The sandwiches and sides were outrageously good (not to mention filling!) and the prices were fair.
OVERALL: it’s unfortunate that our waiter was so careless since I would’ve otherwise rated this place in the 90s. Jerry’s is a prime destination for its tasty food and excellent craft beer, but the service could definitely improve.
Great sandwich joint on Division near Ukrainian Village. Very good selection of American craft beers both in bottles and on tap including seasonal and special brews. Great atmosphere and even kid friendly (we hung out with our 6-month old there fore 2 hours, no problem). Food is top-notch - mostly sandwiches and burgers, but really well made for this type of pub fair. The only downer was how expensive it was, which is not surprising though considering the location.
HUGE food menu focused on sandwiches and very frequently rotating but small draft list exclusively comprised of American microbrews. Huge bottle list that features some really rare stuff, however note that they don’t always have everything they have on the list and frequently have stuff that they don’t have on the list, so ask the bartender if you’re curious. All the bartenders and most of the servers are pretty well trained in beer and aren’t as "beer snobby" as other beer bars in Chicago (ie just because something is rare doesn’t mean it’s good). Their food is pretty good, expensive for a "sandwich" but comes with 2 homemade side dishes all of which are awesome and everything is made of great ingredients.
