From the website, I was expecting a hole in the wall type of place, but was pleasantly surprise to see this upscale den of sandwiches. The beer selection is quite good, all North American (Unibroue is the only Canadian offering). The bar is modern, and the ceiling makes it look like your in a house with a pointed roof (its actually the ground commercial floor of a low rise complex on Division). Samples are available per glass or in groups of 3, 4 or 5. Another excellent place to discover beer.

Stopped in for lunch with my brother and one of his friends. Really nice on the inside, but we ate on their patio seating out front. 20 or so taps, which were all really solid. They had Two Brother’s Bare Tree on cask which was nice to see. Tons of sandwiches. Almost overwhelming there were so many choices. Had a tuna sandwich that was awesome. 3 sandwiches and 3 beers for $51 wasn’t too bad for the city. My only real gripe with this place was the service. The bartender was really cool, but our waiter was absent the majority of the time and the place was pretty much dead on a Tuesday at 1pm. Would go back for sure. Not a bad place to bring the kids either. I would say half of the tables had children

This is a great place to get some unique sandwiches and enjoy a good beer with your meal. Prices are not that bad considering the area. They are sort of slow when they are busy, but when things are made to order, that is to be expected.

This is a great place for food, beer not so much. Their list looks great but half the time I order they are out of what is listed. Grab lunch here but head to Small Bar for a drink.

Very cool little spot in the Division corridor. High quality tap list, fresh. A bit overwhelming menu with ~100+ sandwiches. High quality ingredients go into the burger and this place is like straight up restaurant. Very interesting, though wish it was a little more raucous...

Solid sandwiches with a nice rotating selection. A good number of bottles as well. Overall haven’t been to impressed with the sandwiches and service can be slow. Prices are pretty good.

Came here with my girl for lunch and drinks in July 2011. VIBE: we sat on the patio, which had a nice view of the streetscape. Generous spacing between tables offered some privacy for patrons. Crowd was kinda yuppyish (lots of people tapping away on their smart phones), but thankfully they kept to themselves. SERVICE: our server was righteous with a big chip on his shoulder. He failed to explain that you HAVE to order side dishes with your sandwich, and neglected to say where those sides were located on the menu. He did a decent job of describing the hoppy beers on tap and made great food recommendations; however, when I was paying our bill, he "forgot" to bring the change back to the table, so I decided not to leave a tip. SELECTION: the draught lineup was one of the best that I encountered in Chicago. Ridiculous taps such as Firestone Walker Red Nectar, Port Mongo Double IPA, Bruery Orchard Wit, Goose Island Fleur, and Rogue John John Dead Guy cluttered the menu. Bottle list included top notch offerings from Anderson Valley, Half Acre, and Left Hand, as well as most of the world class American IPAs. I ordered a 3Floyds Alpha King Pale Ale, which I hadn’t tried before coming here. My girlfriend really enjoyed her cocktail. FOOD: I had the Cuban with barbecue beans and mac & cheese while the lady went for a Grilled Chicken Caesar. The sandwiches and sides were outrageously good (not to mention filling!) and the prices were fair. OVERALL: it’s unfortunate that our waiter was so careless since I would’ve otherwise rated this place in the 90s. Jerry’s is a prime destination for its tasty food and excellent craft beer, but the service could definitely improve.

comfortable room adjacent to another which housed a relaxed jazz-ish group. the sounds floated into the bar i sat at with excellent service and a better selection. as good as any, in fact. need to return to sample the food soon, until then it serves well as honestly nearly the ultimate watering hole

Wow nice fancy sandwich place. Sat at the bar for lunch, has a large display of maybe 100 plus beers. Nice lounging area with a modern look. The menu is split up by beer styles and a nice cool thing at the end of the discription it has the ratebeer pecentage acoording to the style. A few beers that stood out here were, full line of FFF, GI bourboun country, Founders Kentucky stout, Allagash Iterlude and Lost coast products. It’s a bit pricy but the food is excellent, pretzel rolls, creat your own sandwich, 2 nice sides! I noticed it had an outdoor patio, but it was too cold today. The location is prime and the service was great. nice to check out.

I picked Jerry’s out of every restaurant in Chicago to visit. Friends from the UK had came to visit, and with all North American beers, I figured this was the place to show our stuff. My feelings are mixed. The place was nice and rather small; a big screen near the bar and a dining area pretty much filled out the restaurant. Some top bottles on display, they have beers from many top American breweries-their full beer list is on their website and represents nearly every major beer style. Service was pretty good; our waiter recommended some beers that my friends enjoyed (I picked my own). Our food and drinks were to us quickly, but... two food orders were wrong. The problem was fixed promptly but noted. As I said above, a nice selection of top American brews, but I must add that appropriate glassware was nowhere to be seen. A tumbler for most beers and a weizen-like glass for all the rest. Annoying. Our food was decent; nothing too noteworthy. Five of us (with child) ate and drank for 90 dollars and had some top quality beers, so I thought the value was good, especially in a big city where markups are the norm. Still, some of the beers (Jolly Pumpkin, etc.) seemed much more steep than they should. Overall, a good beer place that has room to improve on a few fronts.
