Jerry’s is awesome. Great service. Better than solid beer list. And the food? Also wonderful. Caesar salad, veggie sandwich, pretzels...all delicious. I’ll be going back next time I come to Chicago!

comfortable room adjacent to another which housed a relaxed jazz-ish group. the sounds floated into the bar i sat at with excellent service and a better selection. as good as any, in fact. need to return to sample the food soon, until then it serves well as honestly nearly the ultimate watering hole

this was one of the better places in chicago we went to. we sat outside in the evening and the weather was beautiful. wonderful service with a waiter and a separte guy to fill your water. we were at the one on division, but we also saw one on monroe, but didn’t have time to stop. selection was good. major props for putting the ratebeer rating on the menu. service was outstanding, beer was good, nice option with the paddles for the draft beer. this place is in my top 3 for the chicago city

Been here quite a few times, and their beer list just gets bigger and better. Twelve taps and 175 bottles at last count. They have a seasonal and new arrival beer menu in addition to the standard one. The focus is strictly US craft, and the list is broken down by style. Helpful ratings and notes are listed too, making this about the most complete list in the city. The atmosphere is slightly upscale, an there is separate bar and table seating. Prices on rarer beers can be high, but the cheapest is around $5. They used to serve every beer with an unbranded Duvel glass, but last time I got a little bell shaped tasting glass. Food is great, especially the specials and sandwiches. Sides are ok. Patio is decent in the warmer months and not too rowdy. This place seems to attract alot of trendy folks, but they dont seem to sit at the bar ever...more room for me. 4/09: Ordered a bottled Founders RIS at the bar, found out later it was $10 for 12 oz. : /

I live right near this place and it’s a regular stop for me when I need a good sandwich and a nice brew. They have an enormous selection of delicious sandwiches with awesome ingridients like blackened chicken, avocadoes, chipotle chutney, and all manners of deliciousness. atmosphere is a little hoyty toyty, but the impressive beer list makes up for it. Offerings from Jolly Pumpklin, Lagunitas, FFF, DFH, germans, belgians and more are all divided on the menue by beer style. They also have the Kalamazoo Amber! Prices can be steap on the bombers, though drafts and singles are fairly priced for the area. A must try on your visit to the city, near map room and piece as well.

Great North American craft beer selection in an interesting old/new building. They have about 10 taps with Old Rasputin. Oomagang, New Holland, Lakefront, Goose Isalnd, but it’s in there bottle selection that things get interesting. They have a large amount of Lagunitas, Victory, Great Lakes Brewing, Breckenridge, Two Brothers, Three Floyds, Lost Coast, Anderson Valley, Bar Harbor, Jolly Pumpkin among some other hard to find unique beers. They have a handful of 22 ozers that are a treat for beer lovers with a few $$. They Beer menu is larger than the food menu with each style being a catagory. The food is great, huge selection made to order sandwiches, 100 named, but you can make a crazy combination if you want. The interior has a nice wood bar at the end of a long room, high ceilings with interesting wooded arches that look like they are very old. There is a fire place that will be nice this winter to sit next to and sip a Rogue Hazelnut Stout. They also have a nice outdoor patio. The staff is friendly, some are really knowledgable about beer. It’s a casual laid back vibe, that makes it seems older than a few weeks. It’s a nice stop on a beer bar tour including the Map Room (about a mile north near Damen/Armitage), Small Bar (just down the street on Division) and Jerry’s. Cheers!

Great sandwich joint on Division near Ukrainian Village. Very good selection of American craft beers both in bottles and on tap including seasonal and special brews. Great atmosphere and even kid friendly (we hung out with our 6-month old there fore 2 hours, no problem). Food is top-notch - mostly sandwiches and burgers, but really well made for this type of pub fair. The only downer was how expensive it was, which is not surprising though considering the location.

HUGE food menu focused on sandwiches and very frequently rotating but small draft list exclusively comprised of American microbrews. Huge bottle list that features some really rare stuff, however note that they don’t always have everything they have on the list and frequently have stuff that they don’t have on the list, so ask the bartender if you’re curious. All the bartenders and most of the servers are pretty well trained in beer and aren’t as "beer snobby" as other beer bars in Chicago (ie just because something is rare doesn’t mean it’s good). Their food is pretty good, expensive for a "sandwich" but comes with 2 homemade side dishes all of which are awesome and everything is made of great ingredients.

This is a great place to get some unique sandwiches and enjoy a good beer with your meal. Prices are not that bad considering the area. They are sort of slow when they are busy, but when things are made to order, that is to be expected.

Wow nice fancy sandwich place. Sat at the bar for lunch, has a large display of maybe 100 plus beers. Nice lounging area with a modern look. The menu is split up by beer styles and a nice cool thing at the end of the discription it has the ratebeer pecentage acoording to the style. A few beers that stood out here were, full line of FFF, GI bourboun country, Founders Kentucky stout, Allagash Iterlude and Lost coast products. It’s a bit pricy but the food is excellent, pretzel rolls, creat your own sandwich, 2 nice sides! I noticed it had an outdoor patio, but it was too cold today. The location is prime and the service was great. nice to check out.
