Only beer store I had time to visit during my recent visit to Memphis. Nice selection of southern U.S. beers. Had fair selection of European and other U.S. beers. Had about 5 beers on tap and offered growlers. Found a few nice local offerings to buy. Early Saturday afternoon visit and staff was busy with deliveries, but not an issue. Pretty good store.

Joe’s is still my Go-To Stop for beer because of their beer club discount but Natalie’s is coming on strong. Joe’s has a very good high gravity selection of beer for the Memphis area. I’m going from memory here but they have about 12 shelves of beer at room temp and 2-3 three doors of singles in the cooler. Their prices are much better than Busters. The staff is nice and helpful. The store is clean, easy to get to and plenty of parking. Anyone in or passing through the Memphis area that’s into craft/import beer should check it out. They even have a beer club. Plus the sign is cool, especially at night.

Sketchy looking store with better selection than Busters, not a lot that isn’t available most anywhere in town but you can find a few gems like Yazoo Sue

Nice store that looks a little rough on the outside but decent on the inside. They have a little bit of everything (beer, wine, liquor) but the craft brews are in the back. Some of it is warm on the shelves and some in the coolers. Met up with one employee that was eager to talk about the craft brew scene. Decent place with decent prices. As mentioned in other reviews, look for the big neon sputnik outside. That will help you find the place.

Best selection of all the retail stores I visited - staff knew a good bit about beer and were helpful. The rotating sprocket out front makes this place even cooler!

Joe’s is one of the two best places in Memphis to buy beer. The guys know their beer and offer good suggestions. They also have a "beer club" you should ask about. Revised 1/1/2013: After being on RateBeer for a while, I had to revise this to bring it more in line with my other place reviews and other places outside of Memphis. Still the best place in Memphis for beer, and they have started occasional beer tastings too.

Great staff and a good selection of beers in comparison to most other liquor stores in Memphis. They have a $15/ month beer club that is a good way to try things you wouldn’t normally by.

Along with Buster’s and Natalie’s, this is a place to add for high gravity beer in Memphis. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Look for the distinctive sputnik outside!
