Best selection of all the retail stores I visited - staff knew a good bit about beer and were helpful. The rotating sprocket out front makes this place even cooler!

Joe’s is one of the two best places in Memphis to buy beer. The guys know their beer and offer good suggestions. They also have a "beer club" you should ask about. Revised 1/1/2013: After being on RateBeer for a while, I had to revise this to bring it more in line with my other place reviews and other places outside of Memphis. Still the best place in Memphis for beer, and they have started occasional beer tastings too.

Great staff and a good selection of beers in comparison to most other liquor stores in Memphis. They have a $15/ month beer club that is a good way to try things you wouldn’t normally by.

Along with Buster’s and Natalie’s, this is a place to add for high gravity beer in Memphis. Friendly staff, reasonable prices. Look for the distinctive sputnik outside!
