This is the closest Harvey’s pub to the brewery itself. It is fairly easy to walk past as it is located down a side-street. Traditional pub interior with plenty of Harvey’s paraphernalia and an open-fire. Rather warming on a cold and wet day! Good range of Harvey’s beers on cask hand-pull, gravity and bottles. Not exactly much rates for the likes of me, but I rather enjoyed the super-fresh and rather tasty cask ale action. A must-visit in Lewes.

You can’t get your Harveys fresher than that! Just across the street from the brewery and shop the JH tavern serves a nice selection of Harveys ale, both classics and seasonals. I tried the best Bitter and Old ale which were served and tasted to perfection, as well as the Christmas ale which was available when I visited, although some might find it a bit too sweet.
Foodwise the menu consists of the usual pub grub and the prices are reasonable. Only had a couple of warn snacks which were fine, but from looking around at other tables the portions seemed quite impressive.
An easy and casual atmosphere, friendly staff and nice decor (it was Christmas time after all). Considering it’s the brewery tap if you only have time for one place in Lewes this pub should be your choice.

Picturesque old pub just off the improved shopping area around the old brewery and pedestrianised bridge. Rambling with walls full of old artefacts and a strange couple of dolls. As expected it is just Harveys beers in here, but the 2 I had in here were in very good condition, as they should be. Food seems very popular, although we didn’t eat. A must visit.

The Pub is next to and owned by Harveys brewery and as such serves several of their seasonal ales. The food is good, though a little basic. Beer served properly, prices are a little high for a pub next door to a brewery. Nice ambiance. Always full of people.
