Jolly Pumpkin creates some really unique beers and has the best food of any brewpub in Ann Arbor. If you are here at the right time, you have got to try the Baudeliere IO Saison. Really not like anything I’ve tried elsewhere. The taps rotate nicely, and there are JP staples in large bottles at all times. Brew their own liquor here, so don’t expect to find any standard mixed drinks or liquors. Highly recommended, and a really fun feel upstairs. If you’re on a brewpub crawl in AA, this is the place to start and eat your dinner. Only knock is it’s almost always packed and getting a table is tough unless you’re there early on Thursdays through Saturdays.

As much a trendy eating establishment as a beer bar. Top quality brews, even thou the selection is not the greatest. The 5 beer sampler may be a good atart if you are not familiar with the JP/North Peak products.Nice upstairs deck.

Very nice kind of upscale bar, with a restaurant part of it, food and beer very good as was the service.

Very glad to have the chance to visit during a summer trip to Ann Arbor. Nice dark wood-paneled American pub feel, friendly and attentive service. Lovely selection of JP offerings as well as some nice guest taps; a number of rarer JP bottles as well though I did not take advantage of these. Delicious pizza with homemade mozzarella and oven-dried tomatoes. Well worth a revisit and up their with Ashley’s (though perhaps better in atmosphere.).

I’ve stopped in here a couple of times for a beer and haven’t been disappointed. They keep a good selection of their beer at the bar, and service is very good. I haven’t eaten here yet, but probably will in the future. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in Ann Arbor.

When I visited: March 2012. What I had: Bam Bière (draught), La Roja (draught), some of my friend’s Bière de Mars, Sauteed Duck Breast. What I liked: Bustling cosmopolitan vibe, awesome artwork, comfortable seating, quick service (though not the warmest), killer draught list with solid range of styles, kick ass beers. What I disliked: My duck breast was overcooked, but the rest of the dish (fingerling potatoes, wilted greens, roasted brussels sprouts) was superb. Would I go back? Definitely. Overall Rating: 82

right on s. main street. they have 11 beers on tap; not that I could suggest any of the seasonals BUT, if you like belgian, it may be worth you time. i find it hard to call these beer. don’t get fooled by the names; too many brewers are drinking the cool-aid

Highly enjoyable experience here. I had a great bartender who was super informative. He gave me several samples and talked about his take on not only the beers on tap but even the batch-to-batch variations he’s seen. I didn’t eat, but was a really nice looking menu.

We turned up here on a busy Friday lunchtime. The waitress worked well with us to ensure that we got beers that were not available in our home state (a challenge on flights totaling 24 beers!), the food was great (the mustard was AWESOME), and it felt like the kind of place I could easily spend an afternoon whiling away the time.

My favorite A2 brewpub. Food and service are always solid. There is always a combination of North Peak and JP beers plus a few pub only beers. A touch expensive but definitely a must stop!
