This is an high end gourmet store which also stocks some beer. This is probably as good as it comes in Vienna for buying bottled beer. I would hold the temptation to buy beer as the prices are outrages and just try as much as you can around the city.

Everything was said, this is delicacy shop with good selection of beers, mainly classical international beers, but also Austrian micros/small breweries. Prices are high, no wonder.

Worth a visit just for the ambiance, this is the gourmet food temple in Vienna! Sometimes they offer great beers that you hardly will find elsewhere in Vienna. For example they had the Bier.Pur editions in the past and even the Schneider Weisse Tap X editions. Donít know if they will continue with this though. But they also offer some great Belgian stuff, Baladin from Italy as of late and some rarer Austrian stuff like the IPAs from Brauhaus Gusswerk. The most negative point: very expensive!

Stopped past here purely by chance as itís so central. Julius Meinl is a premium food & drink specialist. The interior is fairly grand and stuffed full of food, drink and people! The beer is located downstairs and the selection is surprisingly decent. They have plenty of the usual international suspects and Austrian/German lager, but hidden between those are a few more interesting choices such as stuff from the Bier.pur range. The prices are however pretty high. Worth a visit just to have a long round the place.

This is a delicatessen with lots of gourmet food and other goodies. The beer range, located near the entrance of the store, is quite extensive. However, it consists mostly of lager beers from Austria and further afield, marked with their national flags. This is a place where ratebeers travel lists are very useful. The store is situated am Graben in the very heart of the centre and close to tourist spots like the St Stephens Cathedral and, more relevant, not so far from the excellent 1516 brewpub. (Was shopping here at 27.07.2012).

A top place to shop for exclusive food in the heart of vienne, but also a very expensive shop. The have a good, but not outstanding selection of beers from over the world but also quite normal austrian beers are much more expensive then elsewhere. Better visit another beer shop or a bigger supermarkte in vienna if you are not in a hurry.

A big, fancy gourmet store with a good selection of rare beers, centrally located, fanc, expensive. At least one mead, 3 Austrian ciders and one perry to boot. Brutally full, with suitably tired and efficient cashiers. A must visit really, youíll probably find stuff you wonít find elsewhere. Youíll pass by it whatever the case.

Vienna isnít great for beers stores. For the most part, you see the same Macros and local beers everywhere you go. This is the best place I found to get Austrian beers in the bottle. They had a bunch of stuff from the Western and Southern parts of the country, including Hepf and Honig beers that I saw nowhere else. Prices are higher than elsewhere.
