If you like applied eccentricity with a strong rustic tweak you with not find better than this. Yes the food is an acquired taste but I am in no doubt it is totally authentic. If you just want a nibble try the pigs’ ears and the black beans. Only two kamiskas on tap but several others in bottle. A fully Lithuanian beer menu but pushes the boat out. Before dissing any of the decor look very closely at how it is all constructed. And there is a real fire.

A wooden country house a little bit further from the city center. Has it’s climate but a little bit too cluttered for me. The selection of the beer wasn’t too big and nothing too surprising for me but it was ok for the Vilnius realities. I do not recommend the food- fried bread that we got was cold and fat - dsigusting and the freezer near the entrance speaks for itself. The prices were good. In general good place for non comercial beer but nothing special in comparison to multitaps in other cities that I did visit.

Visited this cool bar in the Uzupis neighborhood in Vilnius, Lithuania in August 2015. It was set somewhat in a park with a cool wooden interior and exterior featuring a lot of various beer memorabilia. The server was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers, and the selection of interesting beers on tap and in bottles was quite good. We ate dinner there as well and it was very good Lithuanian food. Everything was had for a great price as well.

Focussed and atmospheric beer pub well off the beaten tourist track in the Užupio district. Užupio is supposedly the alternative district of Vilnius but I saw little evidence of this (and nor could I locate the famous Frank Zappa statue). This place, however, is the dog’s bollocks. A bit hip and a bit country, the wooden furniture, various mugs and lanterns hanging from the ceiling and walls, and the classic rock soundtrack all happily play second fiddle to the beer. Six ales on tap with various (25-30) bottles available. Prices are even cheaper than the rest of the city, which is saying something. One not to miss, and it’s walkable from Vilnius centre although it seems a world away.

Cool place - it has at least 20% of the charm of the original Šnekutis location on a farm in Pasvalys, which puts it in the top 3 of all time... Interesting line of beers, mostly Taruškų and Jovaru. Well prepared rustic food. Excellent service. Plenty of foreigners here. A gem!

Original and a bit crazy place. Wooden cottage far away from the tourist centre, where both locals and tourists enjoy food and beer in a lazy atmosphere. Old tools and beer advertisements on the walls, with some modern beer bottles. I could not believe I was a city, not on a mountain trail. It seems to have a good selection of local beers. Great.

A strange and nice place in Užupis. Visited on a Sunday early afternoon so it was very quiet, but friendly and good service with good beer recommendations. Nice and tasty Lithuanian food too. Strange, but cozy place I would like to revisit.

One of my favorite pub ever. An old wooden cottage forgotten in off-center Vilnius. That place has history. Not very big, probably sits 50 people max. Calling this place warm and welcoming is an understatement. I could spend hours just looking at all the old junk, old pictures and memorabilia hanging everywhere. You’re almost guaranteed to have patrons try to start a conversation with you, this is a very social bar. Excellent selection of Lithuanian beers on tap, and even a cask. Some bottles too. Food is typical Lithuanian cheap pub food, hard to describe, I was surprised at first because it is the first Lithuanian bar I visited, but after a while I got used to it and quite enjoyed it. Certainly in the top-10 places I’d like to be drinking a pint right now if I could teleport myself from home. This place is borderline surreal.

Cool place both inside and outside. Rustic. Fewer beers on tap than the old town location, but we found the condition a touch better. Grat food for cheap prices. Our servers were generally helpful without being super friendly or inciteful. A definite must.
