Visited on June 21, 2014. The brewery was closed this day, but no problem to sit down at a table in the huge restaurant to have a few beers. They had the "light" and the "red" on tap. No problem getting a 30 cl instead of a 50 cl beer. Nice looking place, nog a huge beer selection though. Worth going for the beers, can’t say anything about the food though, we didn’t eat. The toilet with smoking forbidden smelled of nothing than cigarette smoke.

Indeed an awkward place for just a drink. Though the menu looks good it does seem expensive for what you get. The service is a bit bullish and not patient. Probably understaffed. There were just a few people and it was pretty loud but the atmosphere is very nice. Only four beers, which aren’t they good, poor service, nice atmosphere, expensive food and generally I don’t want to stay long.

Nice place. The only reason the score is low is because they only had one beer, a helles, on tap when I went, but it was pretty good. Food is good here, and a great value. We tried the goulash and breaded mushrooms. Atmosphere is nice and the service is better than many places in eastern europe.

Lovely and beautiful basement restaurant. They had helles and dunkel on draft and a hefeweizen on bottle. Kitchen was open, but we didn’t eat there. Decoration was absolutely lovely.

Cozy cellar restaurant. Beers are average but tolerable. Food decent. Worth of visit. Central location.

Very big cellar restaurant. It would be quite cozy and nice if you’re eating and spending some time there. All we wanted was to have a beer. And they only had one: Világos. Waiter tried to be funny with saying all the time: "To beer or to beer". It was quite quiet on Tuesday afternoon. Service was very slow as they realized we were there only for couple of beers. Not that expensive though.

If you are out to enjoy a good beer in a nice atmosphere this is not the place to be. We went there early friday night and could hardly make a normal conversation due to 80’s funk, disco plus Michael Jackson blasting from the stereo. When the disco suddenly stopped, a horn and accordian band started playing tunes like" Voulez vous couchez avec moi" and "Eye of the tiger". As this is primarily a restaurant, the waiter seemed quite surprised when we just ordered soup and stuffed peppers rather than pigknuckles. His description of the beers was light, red and dark. They tasted like average light, red and dark.

Big vaulted cellar restaurant, traditional Hungarian cuisine, but you are also welcome to taste their beers. Lovely beers, try the Natur Szuretten.

Restaurant catering to crowds, businessmen and tourist busses. A bit awkward to come in just for a beer, but it is possible. Cavernous brick-lined place, very attentive and well-dressed waiters. Didn’t taste the food but it seems quite well put together. There are three house beers and they’re worth a taste if you’re coming through Budapest looking for something microbrewed and local. Not going to be my first stop in town but it seems a decent place for a meal and a beer. A bit stodgy and for the tourist set.

Is a restauran,. not a bar. Very good service, hungarian food. Just the Kaltenberg beers available, there are ok, not a big thing. Cosy place with music in the nights. Worth the try anyways.
