Kappy’s in Cambridge by Fresh Pond is a decent sized liquor store with a large selection of wine as well as most hard liquor that you might be looking for. I didn’t come in for any of that I came to see the selection of beer that was going to great me when I hit the cooler in back. I must say I was surprised to see some good craft beer stocked here when I browsed the selection. A good amount of tasty beers such as Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams, Harpoon, some Rogue beers, and some nice Dogfish Head beers that I have not been able to find in some really good beer stores. Where they loose a little is the quantity of a selection. I was expected a little bit more from the amount of space given to some good craft brews but it was a bit empty behind a few bottles where other great beers could be. The service was not bad. I give credit sometimes when I’m even noticed so the fact that I was asked if I needed help twice will wine some points with me. The value was not quite what I had hope for. The prices were good for the major brand macro beer but if you were looking for the one Trappist beer they carried here it was a little overpriced in my book but not over priced. Worth the a stop in if you are just looking for something but not the place for a major beer haul.

It’s a Massachusetts Liquor supermarket chain. I have been to the one in Cambridge as well and also the one in Brighton. If there is no other place to go that has what you are looking for chances are high that you will find it here. They do have cigars by the way. You will find trappist beers (Chimay and Achel), they have some good English, German and other Belgian beers too (the popular ones.) They also have Quebec beers like Unibroue and a fairly good Micro brew selection as well as your standard Macro swill like Bud, Coors, etc...If you can find someone to help you they usually don’t know too much though but they are friendly.
