78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 sdemb (2) Ithaca, New York | March 16, 2013 Beer selection a little more limited than I expected. No english or photos on the menu made a little difficult to order, but the waitress was excellent. Very pleasant and helpful. | 70 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD 7/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 13/20 JapanTony (52) , Japan | July 2, 2012 Second time for me there. Last time it was a bit empty at 11pm, but this time it was full at 5pm. Over a dozen taps there with reasonable pints (up to 1100). Handpumps, and a nice range of craft. I had Swan Lake rye and Nagisa IPA. Friend had Kisoji porter. Saw the Nest cast conditioned keg on the counter but there was no time to give it a try. Food looked ok too. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 nate2g (447) Boomtown! / Waikato, New Zealand | June 28, 2012 Cool place. The bartender was chatty and recommended other places to visit around town. Tap range was hit and miss - a few shocking fruit beers and a diacetyl bomb, but was saved by a couple of enjoyable and interesting brews. Enjoyable bar all the same though the great staff made it so. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 larsga (164) Oslo, Norway | April 23, 2012 Small, modern bar. They open the entire facade on warm days, which means you can almost sit outside. Quiet, with decent music. Excellent service. Serve about 15 craft beers, one on cask, most of them rare and hard to find. Not to be missed, if you are in Nagoya. | 78 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 KyotoLefty (351) Kyoto, Japan | February 27, 2011 First and still only real craft beer bar in Nagoya. Nice modern atmosphere, with intelligent and friendly service. Good selection of rotating Ji-beer. Prices are a bit high compared to Osaka-Kansai, but I guess that’s Nagoya. Food good too. They get in some beers that are not usually seen in Tokyo or Kansai bars, so that’s interesting. Really the only place now to get Japanese craft beer in Nagoya city, so it’s a must if you are there. |
