A pleasant walk from the city centre through the leafy Kelburn district but be aware that it’s a steep uphill climb to get here. Affords lovely views of the harbour getting here and the reward is a refreshing pint at Kelburn Village Pub. A real local pub vibe here and I thoroughly enjoyed a few pints and a meal during my visit. Regular taps from Tuatara and Garage Project, with rotating guest taps on hand as well. Hearty pub food at reasonable prices. Friendly and chatty staff. Enjoyable.

A good wee local bar this. Local beer on tap and some good New Zealand craft beer in bottles. There is no questioning the friendliness of the staff or the attentiveness of the service. Our party had dinner and the specials were tasty but my dish from the menu was a bit bland.
No complaints from me though. I went back for a second visit the next day to sit for an hour or two watching the tennis on tv with a few pints. Bliss.

Nice friendly "local". Seem to make an effort to know their customers. Food is ok for a small kitchen. Good ish range of beer, that leans toward the excellent Tuatara.
I would recommend to visitors to wellington and locals alike
