Visited several times, and this place is not a typical brewery tap, but I simply love coming by. Always very busy ( only open saturday!! ). Has it´s own cosy and very nice relaxed atmosphere, the staff is always very friendly and helpfull. They have a few of the beers on tap, and a lot of bottles, and all Kernel beers, nothing else :-).. They don´t do food, but you are more than welcome to bring your own, and there are lots of small shops close by , where you can buy breed, cheeses, meat or what you fancy to have. Great place, easy to get to, DONT MISS IT :-).. I know for sure I will be back :-)

Although I have popped by many a time to pick up bottles in the week, Easter Saturday 30/03/13 witnessed my first visit to the Kernel on a normal public day - weird lots of people around! Kernel takes up 2 large arches the back half of both are taken up by brewing kit whilst the front half of one becomes the shop front, whatever bottles they’ve produced in the last 3 or 4 weeks (ususally 10 or so) plus 4 taps which on my visit were serving at least one beer that had yet to be bottled. Service is friendly and efficient a good 4 or 5 people mucking in behind the bar. Discount available for 12 bottle purchase (excluding the strong 8%+ stuff). £29 for a pick and mix 12 pack. At the front half of the other arch is the drinking area, large beer garden style wooden benches which soon filled up. We arrived just after 10.30 and by the time we left at 11.30 the place was filling right up! There is a toliet available. The quickest public transport option from central London is to take the Jubilee line to Bermondsey then a 7 or 8 minute walk. Partizan is about a 10 minute walk from Kernel and you can loop back to Bermondsey Jubilee Line from Partizan in around 10 minutes also.

A great place! It is not a pub but a brewery outlet where you can enjoy Kernel beers from keg and bottles. The Kernel seems to occupy two adjacent railway arches. During winter it feels a bit colder to sit inside than to stay in the sun outside. No problem, just wear a warm jacket. Good service, awesome beers and peculiar surroundings. Loved it! Just a short walk from Bermondsey Underground Station.By the way, bought a book: Craft Beer London (Will Hawkes) (Visited February16 th 2013)

Els caps de setmana obren la brewery per poder prendre les cerveses allà mateix, posen taules i cadires entre els pal.lets de caixes i pots degustar-les directament. Bona idea i bona cervesa.

stopped by right at 9am, after getting lost for a few minutes .. 4 beers on tap .. about 6-7 bottles for sale .. picnic tables to sit and enjoy your own food .. friendly staff .. no actual tour but just a simple laid back place to buy a few brews and take away bottles and hang with friends.

As a resident of SE London who has been drinking The Kernel’s range for a good while now I suddenly realised I have never been to their Brewery which seemed rather lazy. So made the trip on Saturday 15th Dec and very impressed with the setup. Liked being able to try the current range there before buying, and although Food is N/A as others have said there is the great meat/cheese place next door you can bring in while sampling. Overall very impressed. Good convenient location (for me at least) good service and prices. Can now see myself visiting regularly to sample the rare few brews that don’t reach the Catford Bridge Tavern.

Visited to pick up a few bottles and try a few beers. In a garage like building with just some makeshift seating inside. 4 taps and a number of bottles that you can try on site or take home. The employees were very helpful and offered numerous samples. There is a deli right next door where you can grab some meats and cheeses to snack on. Prices were fine, especially considering the quality of the beer.

Kernel is different. On Saturdays It’s a part of the local community where you find locally produced food around you. Very handy to go next door - shop some meat rolls for breakfast and later go to the right and find cheese to go with your beers. Under the chalkboard you even find a playground for the kids. If you happen to meet friendly natives (as we did), the quality of the ambiance & the overall score is increased by at least 20%. Not to be missed on a trip to London - on a Saturday morning.
