An industrial hall with Kernel brews on sale from bottle and tap. Very friendly and nice service. Knowledgeable too. As it is an industrial hall, the surroundings are rather barren, but a nice atmosphere of beer enthusiasts enjoying a pint or two. Decent prices, especially considering the quality and everything. If you’re in London on a Saturday, this is a must stop.

Great place to drink Kernel beers. Pretty decent choice ofmtheir stuff. A bit cramped seating, and not particularly comfortable, but the scene is somewhat compelling.

Easy part of town, but you have to go through a dodgy tunnel and then know where to find the brewery. Industrial storage facility beneath train tracks. It’s not for the looks you need to go here though. Atmosphere is wonderful with all young and a bit hipster kind of people that like to enjoy a tasty glass of beer. Opening times are a bit unhandy (did I say a bit? I have been visiting London >5 times the past two years and have not been able to make a visit yet). Nice selection of some more rare to get Kernel beers as well as their latest few. Maybe the fact that they are not easy to frequently visit, makes it pretty special and makes the atmosphere so good. Everybody is happy to just be there and sample some of Londons finest. Because that is what Kernel is: London’s finest.

Extremely busy when I visited in July 2013, the benches were pretty much fully occupied. Good range of beers on offer and the bottled beers, most of which were on sale at £2.80 to takeaway, were great value. A great destination.

Very nice cosey place situated in an old warehouse just next to the railways. Surprisingly children frindly, you can go with family, next to the brewry there are small other "shops". Very friebndly and knowingly staff. 4 beers on tap and not so large bottle selection as expected. Apr. 8-9. Not pricey. I wil be back.

At the enterance of the brewery, you have a stand with almost all the Kernel beers for sale. On the room next to it is the tasting room to relish some fine beer. They had 5 beers on tap. When asked that I would like to see the brewery, one of the brewer was more than happy to show me around and explain about how the beers are made and a chat as to how the brewery has evolved over time. The prices were good and a lot cheaper than what you pay in pubs/bars. You can bring your food along, have a lovely beer and get indulged in amazing conversation with fellow beer lovers. An amazing experience.

Visited several times, and this place is not a typical brewery tap, but I simply love coming by. Always very busy ( only open saturday!! ). Has it´s own cosy and very nice relaxed atmosphere, the staff is always very friendly and helpfull. They have a few of the beers on tap, and a lot of bottles, and all Kernel beers, nothing else :-).. They don´t do food, but you are more than welcome to bring your own, and there are lots of small shops close by , where you can buy breed, cheeses, meat or what you fancy to have. Great place, easy to get to, DONT MISS IT :-).. I know for sure I will be back :-)

Although I have popped by many a time to pick up bottles in the week, Easter Saturday 30/03/13 witnessed my first visit to the Kernel on a normal public day - weird lots of people around! Kernel takes up 2 large arches the back half of both are taken up by brewing kit whilst the front half of one becomes the shop front, whatever bottles they’ve produced in the last 3 or 4 weeks (ususally 10 or so) plus 4 taps which on my visit were serving at least one beer that had yet to be bottled. Service is friendly and efficient a good 4 or 5 people mucking in behind the bar. Discount available for 12 bottle purchase (excluding the strong 8%+ stuff). £29 for a pick and mix 12 pack. At the front half of the other arch is the drinking area, large beer garden style wooden benches which soon filled up. We arrived just after 10.30 and by the time we left at 11.30 the place was filling right up! There is a toliet available. The quickest public transport option from central London is to take the Jubilee line to Bermondsey then a 7 or 8 minute walk. Partizan is about a 10 minute walk from Kernel and you can loop back to Bermondsey Jubilee Line from Partizan in around 10 minutes also.

A great place! It is not a pub but a brewery outlet where you can enjoy Kernel beers from keg and bottles. The Kernel seems to occupy two adjacent railway arches. During winter it feels a bit colder to sit inside than to stay in the sun outside. No problem, just wear a warm jacket. Good service, awesome beers and peculiar surroundings. Loved it! Just a short walk from Bermondsey Underground Station.By the way, bought a book: Craft Beer London (Will Hawkes) (Visited February16 th 2013)
