This hostel contains a second story bar with an accompanying outdoor patio. The bar area has a library feel and is rather quaint. We visited both during and around the festival celebrating Iceland’s National Beer Day. Service was good but it also included brewers serving their beer. A small but good selection. There are other places in town with larger and more diverse beer selections, but this is not a bad place to visit.

This is the biggest hostel bar I’ve ever seen, and yet it still manages to be cozy. It covers most of one floor, with a medium sized square bar at one end and lots of tables. We visited for their annual festival celebrating National Beer Day. It was more of a drinking festival, just 9 beers available - the Icelandic ones were the same beers commonly found all around town, and they had an American brewer with three beers of his own. Service was a bit slow, but both the staff and the locals were friendly. They offer food as well. Needs a better beer selection if it’s going to be of interest outside the hostel residents. Worth a stop.

A huge pub with plenty of space and cosy places to sit dow or read one of the copious books they have on the shelves. The beer selection seems to mostly be from the Viking stable but some Icelandic micros and Mikkeller are also represented.

Great atmosphere. Food is very good and at good price compared to quality. Have few Icelandic beers on tap and one Mikkeller / To Öl or brewdog tap. Few Icelandic bottles and few from Mikkeller / to Öl. Highly recommended

Nice place, good pub food, but not a too nice selection when I was there: only the regular lagers and a regular Christmas beer.
Good atmosphere though.

A really cool place in Reykjavík in a remade factory. Beerselection nice, with specialty beers regularly on tap. Nice beer inspired menu. Prices not to high, compared to Iceland.
