This place has a ton of beers, including some macros, some imports, and a ton of craft beers. Nice menu with great appetizers, sandwiches and entrees. We were there when it was crazy busy but the service was still fast enough. This is a hell of a beer bar.

My wife and I popped in here on a rainy Monday night and were surprised to see almost every table filled. The location seems to be fairly central for Jacksonville but then again we hadnít gotten a very good sense of the city in our short time here. We sat at the surprisingly short bar - 5 or 6 stools - because it was wide open. The taps are lined up across it, blocking the bartenderís face, and there are a couple tap towers to the right, too. I think it was 85 or 86 in all. Didnít even bother to look at the bottle menu because we found some fun drafts. The food was so-so; stretching it a little for the term "gastropub" when our orders were fairly straightforward pub grub. Reading other reviews, it seems to be all about which items you get, though. The bartender was super nice and knew his stuff. Smoking appeared to be allowed in here, which kind of sucked. Otherwise, the atmosphere was great; lots of beeriana and it felt very lived-in. The draft list was written out on the wall on the right; itíd be helpful if there was another or a bigger one or one closer to the bar, too. Glad I got to stop in this highly-recommended place on my road trip. Iíd also recommend it to anyone stopping through Jacksonville.

This place is excellent for beer. Great selection and a broad one. Wish theyíd put a few more local/state brews in the lineup, but Iíve never left disappointed. The place calls itself a gastropub, but the food is just okay. Mostly just comfort food with an attempt to make it a little fancier. Itís worth eating if youíre there and hungry. In Jacksonville, you should be here for the beer. Hipster wait staff and bar tenders but Iíve never had bad service.

This is my frst stop for dinner after unloading our truck. A great location for beer and food. The beer selection was excellent. They have beer handle taps in the ceiling. I had the taco salad which was excellent but all the food was good. The waitress was very attentive but so busy that we could not talk beer. I look forward to future trips. They plan on expanding due to their success.

Awesome local bar and restaurant with a great selection of beers both on tap and bottled. Steve has done a great job of running this place and the intended restaurant expansion should be good addition. Thanks for the beer tasting!!!

Best beer bar in Jax. Awesome tap and bottle lineup. Beers you wonít find anywhere else in the city. Food is excellent for a beer bar, best fish and chips Iíve had this side of the Atlantic Ocean. I went early on a Tuesday afternoon so the crowd wasnít there yet and the service was decent. Later in the evening and especially on the weekends its a mob scene and the service gets spotty, and parking is difficult.

A: great beer bar, with opportunity to chat or watch some sports.Make sure you take a look at the ceiling which is covered in taps. Love the menu on the wall, tap list and bottles. It is easy to watch some sports or chill and talk with friends. Q: 85 quality taps. Steve, the owner, has gone out of the way to make this place top notch. The servers, the quality beer and the food are all excellent. S: very knowledgeable and friendly. I visited 4 times on my recent stay in Jax and every server was great and knew their beer. It can slow down if they get super busy, but such is the case anywhere. S: top notch, again Steve has gone out of his way to have some special things in the bar and some kegs year round that you will not find anywhere else F: Who would have thought that a "beer bar" would have such amazing food! They bake their own bread daily, a must try, along with the sweet potato fries! another great thing is the fact that the serve food until 3am! So try a waffle at 2:30:) or for a proper breakfast when they open back up at 6or 7am, I forget when. This is a place not to miss in Jax, if you are a local and havent been there yet, shame on you. If you are passing through/visiting it is a place you must visit.

Stopped by on a Thursday for breakfast. Nothing like a great beer bar that serves breakfast. Walked into an almost empty house with taps all over the place. Common and not-so-common beers abounded. Had a Bellís Java Stout with my veggie egg wrap and some nice, crispy home fries. Service was spot-on and beer was first-rate. I donít know what itís like when itís crowded, but I would be there every day if I was a local.
