Kildare’s is a large space with a center bar that splits the space into three or four main rooms. The tap list is extensive but I didn’t find the way they list the taps to be very user friendly. I like a large board with the taps listed but they only have a paper menu that lists all the beers, bottles and draughts, with a little asterix next to the draught offerings. Seems like a waste as they have to print new ones when beers change and harder than it needs to be for the drinker to figure out what is on tap. Service was OK; she seemed to forget us a few times. I had an Appalachian 666 and my lady had a cider. Both were nice. The interior is made of light wood and done in a way to resemble an Irish Pub. It looks like many other American Irish Pubs. Still, the beers on draught were nice and not just BMC as I originally expected. Bottle list is expansive. Go earlier in the day or not on a weekend. By the time we left the rowdy crowd was starting to show up. Overall, it’s a solid experience with good beers but not a place to seek out unless in the area.
