The Kingston Brewing Company is housed in an old fashioned frontier style building close to the harbour front and the old railway station. The decor is very busy with the walls covered in pictures, bar mats and trays. The Adnams poster just like the one we have in our kitchen made me feel at home and the huge papier m‚chť polar bear wearing a bib made me smile. There were no flights or samplers but we were offered a taste of everything before committing to a full pint and the service was friendly. (Visited 7 November 2012).

Have visited a couple times in the past few years. Beer list is interesting enough to tempt the wayward traveller, but not enough to draw tourists. Solid food menu, a bit more upscale than just a pub. Worth keeping an eye on. (4/9/7/8/8/13) 66

I stopped in here for a fast pint after my traveling companions got lost in the crowd on the street. Only a few stools at the bar, but most were sitting at tables at lunch time. Small selections of beers were seen. No beer listing. I had a nice stout. My $20 rang up as $24 their money. I downed my stout quickly and went looking for my friends so we could make the next ferry back to the states.

Feels like going back in time about 30 years. Very old school brewpub, own beer is OK, decent selection of Ontario micros.

Venerable brewpub, downtown location close to the waterside. Just popped in as we were passing through. Very English pubby feelmin atmosphere. Most of the beers seemed UK-inspired too from what I got to try. Unfortunately that was only a couple as we didnít have a lot of time and there was no facility for getting samples. Nothing world-shattering but OK. Food was fine.

Friendly, family-conscious, very local vibe, a bit relaxed and dive-pub style, food passable, beer is just OK and occasionally good or even very good, no helpful beer listing and one has to ask about every beer or the ABV, home. Have to go, they support largely micro Ontario, and brew the odd one-off.

Place rating #500. Popped in here on our recent trip through to Montreal. A very kitchy well-worn interior. Definitely feels lived-in, but not in a divey way - more like a comfy old sweater. The service and the food were good. I only got to try a few beer while I was in - the cask bitter was pretty authentic. They had a solid dunkel on as well. Itís not going to knock your socks off, but itís a pretty nice spot for a sandwich and a pint.

2013-05-01. You kind of have to stop here if you are in town but I find the beers are a bit less than stellar. The food has always been good. They are now doing "chefís specials" that are a bit more upscale than the usual pub grub. The braised beef and mashed potatoes I had were superlatively good. Their two biggest sellers are now being contract brewed off-site apparently. Definitely still worth a visit while in town. ------------------- RBSG 05. Food was awesome, burgers. Waitress (nicole) was especially friendly and accomadating when I said I was driving so would only be sampling a little bit. Even loaned me a pen when mine conked out. This place grows on me with each visit. -------------------

A nice stop for lunch between Toronto and Ottawa. Place is a bit kitchy, but fun for the kids. Beers were decent, not world beaters, but a nice selection of their own plus regional micros. Food was ok, fine pub food. No idea what the places looks like at night.
