Nice big brewpub in historic location. Good vibe and ambiance. Dark hardwood tables and heavy chairs, multiple large rooms with bars, concert venue, brick patio. Large picture windows to the brewery. Very friendly, well-informed servers. About 10 regular beers and about 10 seasonals, some of which are quite unique. Good food, fair prices. Sampler flights of your own choosing. Useful website. They even have periodic 5 course beer dinners, each paired with a fresh Kirkwood Station beer, of course. Highly recommended.
Located in the heart of Kirkwood. It has a relaxing and casual atmosphere. Service was very good and friendly. They had 9 beers on tap, during our visit. There is also a limited selection of bottles, if you crave a macro. Their menu is fairly extensive and quite good. Worth checking out if you are in the area.
Nothing to say that hasnít already been said in previous reviews. The location is great. The food is nearly great. The service is great. The atmosphere is great. The beer sucks. I tried at least ten from their summer line-up and, save one, all were substandard. ínuff said.
An older, dimly lit brewpub with a bar area in one room and seating in another. Bartender was nice if not particularly knowledgeable about the beer. A sampler of all the beers was available which was nice. Did not try the food on my visit. A pretty standard brewpub.
A really large place with a huge patio and bar area. Service was slow and not really beer centric. Selection was their own taps and some micros. They did do a tasting flight. Food was horrible, with small portions, typical crappy local snacks and high prices to boot. Beer surprisingly wasnít bad. Nothing stood out, but the seasonals were tasty. Not worth the special trip, but a few good ticks if you are in the area.
I happened upon Kirkwood on my 3rd day in the area. I unfortunately chose a night when they had live music. Talk about a completely weird setup. Music venue on one side, pub and brewery on the other. That said they had over 10-12 different beers available and most were very nice. I really enjoyed the stout and ipa. My appetizers were nice but nothing special. Decent value though. Honestly the worst thing was feeling like I was in an area where wanna be hobknobbers were there just to be trendy. Not sure about the surrounding area but it seemed like most folks were not there for the brews which was a shame as they had some nice suds.
Nice place. Pretty busy on a Thursday night. All beers tasted were of good quality. My favorite was the "RIZ" Russian Imperial Stout. Seems like a neighborhood hotspot. Recommend if you're in the area.
