Vibe instantly killed this place for me. Local place only, didn’t feel welcomed. Decor was garbage; old, run down, dirty, out of date, food on the menus etc. Draft lines didn’t seem clean. 10 drafts, a couple decent beers but nothing you can’t find elsewhere, nor a reason to come back.

Visited for one beer with a friend on August 7, 2013.
Counted 14 taps and around 20 bottles.
Plenty of indoors seating as well as some outdoors.
Decent selection and variety. Nice friendly service. The young girl in the bar didn’t seem overly beer oriented, but she was happy and friendly.
Didn’t eat. Not super busy, but a good crowd there. Some soft music was playing.
Centrally located around the busy Salamanca area.

Busy old fashioned pub in Salamanca Square. Supposedly the best pub in Tasmania and one of the top pubs in all of Australia, not sure I agree on that one though. I visited early in the afternoon and we were the only people in, I imagine it gets real busy in the evenings though. Barman was friendly enough and they had a surprisingly good range with a few micros I hadn’t tried on tap.
