Hip spot located near some other beer destinations in Fishtown. Exposed brick and loads of iron work lends a semi-industrial vibe. The large U-shaped central bar sort of dominates the place. The tap list was decent. Roughly 50% localish stuff with a smattering of bigger national craft players thrown in. Unfortunately a lot of beer from the areaís pretty hit-and-miss, so definitely try before you buy. Service was totally adequate. Prices werenít exactly cheap. Overall, Iíll definitely visit again.

Visited on Black Friday in the afternoon. KBS had kicked but the rest of the line-up was still on tap and it was a great place. Able to walk right in and get a table for 5 people although when we left closer to dinner time it there was a wait for a table. Obviously the beer selection was pretty great considering the special Black Friday event but I can only rate based on what I drank (and it was great); the food was surprsingly delicious, probably considering I had no expectations, and the atmosphere was both interesting and unique (love the giant saw above the bar). Prices were reasonable even for BCBS on tap and the food was also fairly decent. The staff were very attentive even as it got busier later in the afternoon. Its an easy cab or public transit ride away from downtown and if you want to explore "northeast" downtown Philly this is a good place to start.

Went here on a Thursday night--man, it was pretty busy, although we only waited 10 minutes for a table. I really liked the ambiance - itís a renovated corner tavern, and theyíve done a very nice job with it, incorporating wrenches in the decor, etc. The service was quick and helpful, although the guy seemed pretty baffled explaining a baltic porter to me. The selection was good, with some rotating taps and interesting choices. The food was very good, and reasonably priced overall. Overall a great choice in Fishtown!

Nice local spot in a residential neighborhood. Huge U-shaped bar with plenty of taps (Pliny the Elder until about twenty minutes before we walked in, unfortunately), but could use more local stuff. Friendly staff. Worth a look. Easy walk from the train station.

One of the best beer bars in Philadelphia. Huge selection. They constantly let you know whatís coming up on which taps, which is a detail you donít often see. This also shows that they plan their beer selections as well. Food is amazing at a decent price.

Ive been here a handful of times but finally getting around to the rate. Open, one room bar. Bar is a U shape in the middle of the room with tables around the perimeter. Outside seating is also available. Barkeepers tend to be friendly and quick when you need a refill, which is nice. Iíve had the burger and it is top-notch, though Iím not a fan of the fries (never been a fan of shoestring fries). Always a few taps that arenít anywhere else local and generally at least one or two Iíve never seen. they play the tunes a bit loud but thatís to be expected at this hipster hangout. Youíll see a couple guys trying to read a book amidst the loud music and crowd nice because they are too cool. Good place.

Went for Sunday Brunch. 23 taps, not particularly Philadelphia biased. Had a couple beers Iíve never seen before on tap. Good printed beer list showing whatís on and whatís up and coming, as well as price and glass size. We had the breakfast sandwiches - they were good, but for $9.50 Iíd expect a bit more than one slice of scrapple. Wife go herís with t-bacon and it was a generous portion. Specials sounded real good too. Very hipster - there were more neck-beards, thick glasses and iPhones than Iíve ever seen. Ambiance was a bit noisy. Service was top notch and VERY friendly. We will definitely be going back here.

Nice place right off 95 with a cool ambiance of brick walls and neat modern lighting, the bathroom had big wrenches for the ada toilet and old side view mirrors above the sink ... the big U shaped bar was nice and clean with two tvís and a friendly atmosphere ... the server was very into beer and the tap list was current on a printout ... the food was decent had the beer can chicken sandwich which was huge .... 23 beers on tap; the list had a little of everything and had a nice twist of american micro and some hard to find good international brews .... definitely a place to enjoy and check out for a price that didnít hurt too bad either
