80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 SaintMatty (147) Uppsala, Sweden | March 22, 2010 Excellent selection of beers, although some of the beers are a bit on the expensive side. There’s a good range of British, American and Belgian beers as well some a diverse range from other countries. Recommended. | 90 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 planky84 (18) , England | January 19, 2010 Excellent beer store, huge choice. Travelled a fair way to get there but it was more than worthwhile. Had a tour of the shelves by Kris who was more than happy to talk me through all the beers I was pondering over, he certainly knows his stuff! Without doubt the best beer store in London. Massively recommended. | 88 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 tdtm82 (70) , England | January 9, 2010| Updated February 21, 2010 A very honest well run shop in North London. An impressive wall selection of Belgium; German, US and English beers. Interesting items too. I had a nice chat with the owner whom was very pleaant and dedicated to his work I can’t beleive they had the De Molen I was looking for. Awesome. | 96 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 10/10 OVERALL 19/20 Richy (10) Dublin, Ireland | March 6, 2009| Updated February 21, 2010 Possibly the best beer store in London for my money. The owner is friendly, selection is great (although not quite as extensive as Utobeer in Borough Market), and best of all, most beers are under £2.50.
Very out of the way. You wouldn’t even realise it was a beer shop. It’s called Kris Wines, and there’s a giant coors light sign taking up most of the window.
Well worth a visit. | 84 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 MesandSim (35) London, England | September 1, 2007 A great place situated on the main road along the 390 bus route between Tufnell Park and Kings Cross. Owned by a very pleasant and friendly bloke called Krishna. Sim and I were told about this place by a random stranger we ended up sitting with on the way back from Glasgow. Really glad he told us. Just up the road for us. A superb selection of British and Belgian and a reasonably impressive selection from the rest of the world including some random countires. Wandered in not expecting much, came out with 15 new rates. Could have had plenty more but had more than enough to carry as it was. Best thing about it and the main thing that will keep me coming back is definitely the very very reasonable prices. Hope it stays like that. Will be a regular here from now on. |
