Kris Wines is the THE place in London to score some top beers at a decent price. His selection is always changing and he updates his newly arrived beers on his twitter and facebook accounts with pictures which is highly useful. Kris the owner is also very helpful upon helping the customer choose the beer right for them. Worth the trot up to Camden Road! Five star!

I’ll say it: best bottle shop in London. To start, the selection is outstanding. Lots of British stuff, plenty of Belgian, a whole wall of German, and lots of American. (There are plenty of other countries in there, too.) The American selection was quite impressive. There was stuff in here I couldn’t even buy when I lived in New York City! Lost Abbey/Port Brewing, Odell, and Big Sky are in there, to name a few. (None of these beers are distributed in New York.) The shop itself is tiny but the space is utilized to the max. Thankfully, while I was in there there was never more than one other customer. It could get cramped very quickly, I think. And what I liked the most was that all the bottles were labled with the price. (This is not the case at Utobeer.) And the prices are better than decent. Some real bargains can be found, but for the most part the prices are fair. Sure, Kris Wines is a bit outside the city center, but there is a bus stop right nearby, and the walk from Euston Station is only about 30 minutes. I can’t wait to go back.

Note well: there are two guys who usually work here: Kris and another fella. Kris speaks perfect English and is very helpful. The other guy’s English is minimal.

Possibly the best beer store in London for my money. The owner is friendly, selection is great (although not quite as extensive as Utobeer in Borough Market), and best of all, most beers are under £2.50. Very out of the way. You wouldn’t even realise it was a beer shop. It’s called Kris Wines, and there’s a giant coors light sign taking up most of the window. Well worth a visit.

Better American selection than most places in the US, you pay for it but its much cheaper than a trade.

Great beer shop that is worthwhile the mile walk from Camden tube station. Huge selection of British beers and good selection of US and German beers as well. Owner is very helpful and know many details about his beers.

Really really good selection and good prices. Kris who owns this place knows what he is selling and willing to help you out a bunch - Just dont go to london with out stopping at this place - also, bring a huge backpack, your going to wanna buy a lot :)

Amazing how hard it is to find a good range of bottled beer in London these days. Kris Wines up in York Way in deepest Camden is as good as it gets. Wide variety of American Craft Beers, German styles, British ales, seasonal beers and other interesting finds from around the world. Take plenty of cash as you’ll find you’ll buy more than you think and the prices are reflective of the fact that some of them are expensive to import in small quantities. In short, a beer lovers paradise in the hidden guise of a regular off off licence.

Little place with huge selection of beers and wines of course in Camden town. Lot of British, American, German beers. My highlights are The Kernel, Sambrooks, Stone brewing, Brooklyn Brewery. But there are much more interesting beers. Price are reasonable, but you spend more money, than you planned. This is beer shop, where I go first for shopping, when I am in London. .

How can one fit so many beers and wines in such a small store, but they’ve done a great job and the selection is great as well. Staff is very helpfull and helped me to buy a load of beers to take back home with me; IPAs, Imperials, Barley Wines, Porters... I will certainly return on my next trip to London.

Great shop near Camden Market. Busses go direct. Cosey shop. Great service. Kris knows his stuff. Fantastic selection. Overseas, danish, american, rare germans and tons of realy nice bristih beers. Cheap too. This is the place to go in London.
