L’incroyable bar.

Really pleasant little beer bar, much like a little reading library, with a beer card that looks like a phone book. They have all the truly excellent Belgian beers here (don’t come looking for freaky US craftbrew). A good place to discover something or just quietly reflect on an old favorite

Visited on 26/09/13 the Thursday prior to Borefts, first time I’d been to the Kulminator in almost 7 years and the place has hardly changed except for the prices heading north !
Rambling split level bar akin to a living room/dining room with plants dotted about and the resident cat on the prowl.
Service is known to be on the slow side, however there were perhaps 15 or so other drinkers on this night so never a problem.
Great selection but expect to pay for some of it!
I asked to take 4 or 5 bottles away with me but because it was after 2300 the owner didn’t want to go into the cellar - you must ask before 2300 or some shit @pumpkinturninto.be !!!
Great bar none the less and would definately hit here on any visit to Antwerpen.

The original beer bar, no question about it. Has many hundreds of beers, some very very unique. Somewhat pricey sometimes, and service isn’t always the fastest due to the couple running it being older (and wiser!) Sometimes it can get crowded in there, but overall good atmosphere. Check it out before the bartenders become pensioners and drink all their own beer!

After 8 years of trying to get here but failing, I arrive, just in time for my 400th place rating! Great interior atmosphere. Small but excellent tap list--that alone is enough to go here. Of course the bottle selection is not as it must have been, if we believe what we were told. The rarest gems can only be purchased if you do a vertical and buy 3-6 regulars. Still, there are lots of vintage beers not considered "whales" that can be had reasonably. Got a 2005 Carolus Easter for 12 Euros. It was great. This place definitely lives up to it’s slightly fading legend.

For a beer lover I wouldn’t know of a better place. Over 800 bottles to choise from and some unique beers on tap. The owners know about their beers and are happy to share. Sonewhat strange interior for a bar, more like a lving room full of plants, koekoek clocks and a cat. I just lover this.

A must for any beer lover, smelly but cozy, not really good service, good tap selection but the best part is the vintage bottles selection, of course.

A sancta sanctorum of beer, must visit at least once in your life. Two failed temptatives some years ago, this time we finally did it: we found this place open. Very old, kind of dirty, but really charming. You really breath beer there!. Leen is so kind and nice, while Dirk is Dirk, cold and distant. Their beer list is amazing, aged ones.

The selection is amazing: besides regular tap and bottles (a lot of bottles!), they have an endless list of vintage beers. Service is great, they know what they’re talking about and are happy to share some knowledge. A must for any beer-lover!
