The name (100 beers) suggests a large selection, but in reality only a fraction of their menu was available. And among those, nothing really fancy. Go to Beer O’Clock for more bottles. Stood at a table outside, as the interior was smoked through. Prices are reasonable. Not bad, not great either.

Nice place in the middle of the old town. A good selection of beers. Prices reasonable. Mostly german and belgian beers but not only. When i visited they had Zaganu.

One of the best place to drink beer in Romania. La 100 de Beri is a somewhat small bar located in the heart of the most pleasant lively area of Bucharest, surrounded by restaurants, other bars, etc. This part of old Bucharest with pedestrian streets full of lively businesses is a really nice area to hang out. Nothing special inside, I went there 4 times and every times I sat on the front patio on the busy pedestrian street. As it is often the case in Romania, very limited tap selection. A nice bottle menu, well organized. Bottles from breweries such as Franziskaner, Weismainer, Hutthurmer, Plank, Weihenstephaner, Riedenburger, Warsteriner, Augustiner, Paulaner, even a French brewery I had never heard about (Meteor). Prices are not the cheapest I found in this country, to the contrary, but you pay for drinking in this area. Very friendly service. I drank a bunch of different Hutthurmer which is an excellent German brewery I had never tried, some Plank and others.

A short walk from Beer O’clock, this bar offers a smaller range of bottled beer than Beer O’clock. Not everything that’s on the menu is in stock and not everything in stock is on the menu, so go to the refrigerators and have a look. Prices are dirt cheap for foreigners, the service is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is friendly - mostly young, local crowd. Once they pass anti-smoking laws the place will be beergeek-heaven.

Close to the two Beer O’Clocks and less of a beer-samplers venue and more a genuine vibrant bar. It was slightly odd to see 3 UK-style hand-pumps with Oyster Stout (Marston’s) etc and the promised full selection of Belgian beers (on a printed card for each table) was a fiction - BUT the service is excellent and the establishment morphs from smarter to basic bar as one moved back. Bottle selection not as good as the Beer O’Clocks but has some good German & Belgian options. A good place for a beery evening in the old city.

I asked for Romanian beer and they did not have any, so I was ashed to the other side of the street into a bar named 1974 by same owner. There I had some Romanian beers, quite decent some of them. My rating is this the 1974 which is same as La 100 de Beri. Quite small, thus cosy, several beer drinkers knowing what it is about. No food. Had a good time. Not too large a selectin and the waiter was busy eating his meal, the oroma of which made me feel real hungry.

This pub is located in the old center of Bucharest (Lipscani area) which is recently renovated (almost finished as of april 2012). The selection of beers is quite varied (they do have 100 beers in the menu, mostly bottles). The food is limited to sausages and fries. The pub resembles a typical german or belgian pub. The music that played while me and my friends were there was some dubstep, Lostprophets, Biffy Clyro, My Chemical Romance, Disturbed etc.
