Tucked away down a walkway and I had no issue finding it. Lovely interior and yeah you come for the chance to try the Lambic Doux served in the ceramic jug. Oh and the Blanche too. Staff were fine when I was there giving prompt service. Do check it out.

The ambiance is very cozy despite the location in the city center. The selection of draft beers is very limited but you can find blanche lambic which is quite interesting. Service is not the best I’ve ever seen!

Honestly, this is the kind of place I can spend hours. A little bit of food to keep you upright.
Fun place to sit with strangers and drink good local beer, if your looking to tick big boys this is not your place. This is the place to relax, drink and hang out.

One of those classic old bars, great wooden decoration and tables. Service is a touch grumpy but super efficient. The main event is I guess the lambics, great concept with the ceramic jugs but the Timmermans beers are all a bit sweet.

What to say about this place? it´s a must. Lambic beers from mugs at room temperature, a white lambic, etc... but it was really dissapointing. Very beautiful saloons, but really bad service, rude and bad mannered. We ask for a mug to share, and were told that mugs can´t be shared, is one for person....ok, we we´re thinking about having the two available, but we know for sure you can share mugs...the we order some cheese ansd sausages, at about 20:30h: the guy at the desk, with less than 10 people at the place, tells that kitchen is closed, and stands there, impassive.... ok, we finished and go, and we were the last to leave the place.

Sleepy traditional beer cafe located in central Brussels. It is however not that easy to find...it’s down a small alley off the main street. We visited to sample the infamous Lambic Doux and were not disappointed. They serve it from old clay jugs and it tastes rather good really. They also have a decent little bottle selection with some Cantillon etc on offer. Service was friendly and attentive. Worth a visit to get the feel of a traditional beer house and try the doux for sure.

Very quiet traditional cafe located off an alley near the Grand Place. This place is quite easy to miss, and it took us a few passes to find it. The ambiance is very relaxed. Plenty of old wooden fixtures. The bar displayed a number of traditional lambic jugs that they use to serve their famous faro in. The service was fine. The selection’s small. The real showcase is the Lambic Doux, a rather arcane faro that’s a permanent fixture at the bar. For a faro it’s actually quite good. The prices were fair, not unreasonable. Overall, I’ll definitely be back to sink another jug of Faro here the next time I’m in Brussels.
