not so interesting beers except a sort of faro and a "white lambic" that are courious, not at all bad but in brussels you will be busy with more interesting visits

A nice little place to have a lunch meal and a lambic in a traditional Belgian-cafe environment. The lambics are mostly Timmermans on tap and a few bottles, but the food is pretty good and the atmosphere is peculiar and interesting. Old wooden panels and a golden barrel as a draught station, along with waiters wearing a strange, old-looking costume makes this an interesting stop, and a little hidden oasis in busy downtown Brussels. Relaxed and very varied clientele consisting of everything from lambic geeks to younger couples and local old folks, all the way to tourists straight off the street. Recommended more as a "sight" of sorts than a conventional beer place.

Would have never found this place if we didnít buy a book that told us to go there. It was off the street through a little alley near the Grand Plaza. The inside is very traditional looking and the servers were wearing old style clothes. The selection of beer was only lambics, which I thought was great because thatí my favorite style but it was only between Cantillon and Timmermans. We were able to get a sampler which was great. The spaghetti was awesome. It had lots of melted cheese, ham and peas in it. Great little place.

I like the place, the way to serve Faro and the clothing of the attendants...

Few minutes walk from Grand Place through narrow passage. Moderate big old style wooden place with rare Timmermans Doux served in ceramic jug. Nice.

I kinda enjoyed the waiter looking at my crew in a funny way the entire time we were there. Getting a pitcher of gueze sealed the deal. The spaghetti was super simple and perhaps not so great, but it did the trick on a long night of drinking.

I guess I must have been lucky because we found this little cafe by accident one night. The interior is truly warm and quaint with medieval character. There are many decorations of Lambic and Faro bottles around the wooden tables and chairs that line the little cafe. I tried the Lambic Doux that was served in a small ceramic pitcher (that I bought as a souvenir). The Lambic was delicious and seems to be rare due to the fact that Ive never seen it anywhere else.
