Nice place to go for the atmosphere. Small selection of beers with some good stuff in there but at touristy prices. Would never go regularly, but it is nice place to go to occasionally. Compared to some of the other old fashioned touristy places on the circuit itís a bit better I reckon. Service is a bit surly, but surly in an amusing way rather than nasty.

A charming little old school Brussels place, very quiet when visited early evening on a Wednesday. The beer selection is small but the Timmermans faro made for them was a pleasant surprise that I only knew about upon visiting. Worth popping in if only for that!
Lovely old tavern down a dark alley off Tabora. Iím sure that on my visits quite a few years back this was a proper Lambic House, I do believe that my first introduction to this wonderful style was in here. It looks like there has been quite a change in here as it now seems like a pub with just an average range of beer instead of doing one thing really well. The Landlord didnít interact very well either being quite frosty with people. Not sure I will be going back now.

Very funny place. Ugly, old fashioned but still not without charme.
A giant jug of Timmermans Lambic Doux. Not bad but not really good.
Glad to have tried the place but will not revisit.
Hidden down an alley, the interior is grand but has seen better days. The brass cas for the doux is nice and the kitcsh stone jugs are fab at keeping the beer cool. Quite a small range, but you can get a tasting tray of four of the draught beers. The snacky food bits are ok though a little on the pricey side.
My last night in Brussels, I popped in La Becasse to check out their cask lambics. I ordered a tasting set and while drinking it in this old historic pub made me feel I was in a medieval manor. There was a very friendly old guy running the room, friendly polite and affable. The tasting set was 6.70Ä for Timmermans Doux, Blanche, Kriek et Bourgogne des Flandres. Iíll be back someday and Iíll order a large old school tankard of the Doux!
