Nice bottle shop. Most of the beers in coolers, some on the floor. Great selection and good prices. Next time Iíll come with an empty suitcase.

What a great find (thanks RateBeer!). I literally arrived here within 30 mins of landing in Anchorage and 15 mins before they closed so I could stock up on great beers for my 2 week driving tour of Alaska. I figured once out of Anchorage craftbeer would be few and far between (the only exception really being Fairbanks and a few stops on the way south to Denali and Talkeetna). The guy working the store helped me assemble an impressive stockpile of Anchorage beers (plus Denali beer from Talkeetna) as well as some really good selections from the US northwest (ex. Deschutes and Ninkasi). My favorite turned out to be King St. IPA that was recommended (I visited that brewery at the end of my trip and flew some of their beer home to NJ) was extremely fresh and hoppy...the kind of Heady Topper style that has to be consumed in the first 2-3 weeks max. This was a great place to start off on my adventure. Thank you to La Bodega! Note that they also sent me next door to Amsterdam Cafť for dinner where I was able to try a number of Alaska beers my first evening in the state...a perfect 1-2 punch!

Great selection for a small city. Many of the best of the West coastís breweries are represented here - Deschutes, Full Sail, Alaskan, Pike, Bridgeport, Fish, Stone to name a few. Have a good selection of Belgians as well - I was able to pick up a Rochefort 8, believe they had the 6 and 10 as well. All are sold as singles and the prices are clearly marked so there is no confusion at the cash register and the prices are reasonable - some were as low as $1.35 per bottle. Owner was very friendly and familiar with A must stop if in the Anchorage area.

Great place to get some beer and wine. Pretty small but they pack a lot in there and itís well organized. The service is great, Iíve always had someone come ask if I need help and they are knowledgeable as well. The selection is very good with all kinds of beers not available anywhere else in town. The great thing too is that you can break apart any 6 pack and buy an individual beer. The value is good, sometimes things are cheaper elsewhere in town but often times not. Overall a great store, I always leave with new beers and canít wait to go back.

Stopped by their new location. Plenty of room with a very diverse selection of beer. They now offer growler fills in 32oz an 64oz. The service is spot on and very helpful in that not annoying way. Prices are on the higherside; however many of the singles they have are not found readily elsewhere. This will most likely become my regular stop.

Comfy, laid-back little hole in the wall on one side of an old mall. Great selection of regionals, Western US micros, and some European imports. Everything can be purchased singly; woo-hoo! Nice and knowledgeable young sales lady was the only other person in the store on a Sunday afternoon. Fair pricing for Alaska.

In a strip mall in Anchorage. Great selection of Alaskan beers and meads. Also plenty of wine and some PNW brands as well. They do let you break six packs. Staff is knowledgable and friendly. It is a must stop when beer shopping for Alaskan beers.

Space wise, this place is not very big, but it does pack a punch with the space itís been given. Great selection of Celestial Mead meds. Great selection of beers. They didnít really seem to have anything "rare", but Iím not from here, so everything, is in a sense, "rare" to me. The service was nice, and I was able to shoot the shit with the guy working there, for a few minutes. Very personal experience, but doesnít carry the selection as say the Brown Jug off of Old Seward, or wherever itís located. The prices here seem to be pretty consistent everywhere Iíve been.

Neat little bottle shop in central Anchorage. Lots of local/Alaska beers and much beer from Washington/Oregon. Saw some Jolly Pumpkin there too! Good stop to pick up some seldom seen beers down here in the lower 48. The staff knows their stuff too.
