As everyone else has said, this place is great. It’s definitely the best beer shop in Paris. They have a great selection of French beer (which is surprisingly hard to find in France), and the owner, Simon, is incredibly helpful. The beers are well priced and it seems like they get new beers in fairly regularly.

simple the best place in Paris for all tourists that want a slice of french styles beers... Great place too for parisians that want to try something else than 1664 and Desperados... Simon is passionate and seems to know everything’s possible about brewing and beer-tasting.

Simon is simply awesome and very passionate about good beer. Bring something interesting to trade and he’ll give you some great stuff in return. While his focus is mostly French stuff, expect to find some interesting Belgian and other brews. If it’s busy, you may have to wait a little while to get advice, but it’s worth the wait since he’ll make sure everyone gets exactly what they’re looking for.

If at all possible, I would like to award this store points for food, even though it doesn’t serve any. Not only was this easily the best beer store in all of Paris, particularly for French beers, but it’s one of the best I’ve visited in my entire life. Simon, the manager, really knows his stuff. He has a story and a close description for every single beer in the collection, and he pulled out some special Catillon beers that he hadn’t even put out on the shelves yet. He easily spent half-an-hour pointing out interesting Belgians and French beers for my wife and I in very good English. Not only that, but when he heard that I was from San Francisco, he replied, OH! Toronado Pub! which is my local watering hole and the real beer drinker’s only option in the City. But we had a certain sympatico, and I soon found myself buying something like 11 beers, including two 750-ml giants, even though I have but 60 hours left in Paris. Still, I was delighted to discover that we didn’t break the bank. His most expensive rare lambics were just 11 euro each, and single bottles start at 2,60 for beers that I’ve seen go for $10+ in the States. Tremendous value. Do not miss this shop if you come to Paris, and be prepared to buy a lot more than you expect to. It will be OK, though. Simon will box it all up and put a handle on the box so you can haul it across town by Metro. The only choice if you’re into French beer at all.

L’ambiente è semplicemente spettacolare, il servizio di una competenza quasi commovente. Selezione non amplissima ma piena di ricercatezze, biere de garde e qualche belga. Un posto da 10 e lode.

Thanks Simon!! You have to see this passionate French gentleman. I planned to buy few good French beers and continue vacation in Paris, but my visit take about 45min. And I don’t lie a lot, if I say that this was one of the best moments in Paris. Great selection and Awesome Service!!

Pleasant location, down a small alleyway in an otherwise crowded part of Paris. The shop has an amazing collection of French crafts plus some decent Belgians (which I mostly ignored b/c I just came from Belgium). The owner is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the details of every product in his store (there must be hundreds). Every bottle of the same volume had the same cheap price. He bubble wrapped everything and we chatted about New York craft beer. I only bought 4 bottles because I had space issues. I would kill for a store like this nearby.

After reading the ratings of this place I agree with the opinions, one of the fewest places with good beer and passion for it.
