As KyotoLefty said this is basically a chain of import food/liquor shops all over Japan(thereís one in Ikebukuro, a few in Osaka and one just opened in Kyotoís Avanti too). Prices are a bit high but their glassware is about average in terms of price. they have a bunch of belgian beers, some English ones, a few Japanese craft & macros from around the world. If you see one stop in and see what they got but they arenít worth a special trip or anything.

Donít know if this really should have been added, but hell, since it was, I will add my two cents. This is part of a chain of stores all over Japan. Generally they have a pretty good selection of beers at reasonable prices. Sometimes you find amazing bargains, sometimes interesting stuff like 2004 Boon Framboise. I find that stores in the countryside seem to have a better selection of Japanese micros, usually stuff from the area. This one has about 10-15 J. micros, plus a couple dozen Belgians, and handfuls of British, German, and a bunch of macro crap. Itís a good place in the center of Kyoto, so if you are looking to see whatís available, you should stop in. Expect no one to be able to answer beer questions.

This is a import grocery store. It has a huge selection of imported beers and ususally some Japanese Craft beers. The prices are very good for Kyoto and you can also get lots of imported food.
