Close to the harbour in and in the neighborhood of some small and narrow alleys with quite interesting shops. Quality selection here and if you’re lucky Steve Huxley will be in. It’s always fun to chat with him about developments in the Catalan brewing scene. He used to run BBC (seriously - but the Barcelona Brewing Company that is). Loads of Belgians, rare Catalan beer, few US brews and quite a share of German beers. Must visit, but avoid it on the last Tuesday of every month as they do inventory and will open later as advertised.

Small place, but with a nice concept in the old city side of Barcelona. Nice big selection on bottled beer. Some local catalan breweries and a lot of belgians. Great place to start a night.

Really amazing place !
At the beginning it was a store of good beer, they add a table, handpump and then it’ll begone a place full of youth people drinking only the best products in the world.
The guys know the stuff, they can make you discover some incredible spanish beers ! They pour right the beer.

4 taps rotating and maybe 50-60 bottled brews from around the world. When I was there the first time there was Pura Pale from local Agullon on tap, and also a good bottle selection from Norway’s finest handcraft brewery: Nøgne Ø. Run and staffed by beer enthusiasts hoping some day to expand their operation into in house brewing.
A relaxed, light and lo-fi athmosphere.
A heart-warming, throat-cooling and palate-stimulating experience and most definitely worth a visit for any "beer buff" in Barcelona.

On the corner of one of the characteristic narrow alleyways of the Barri Gòtic in the southern part of the historic city centre, this is a great find for anyone who’s had enough of drinking Damm Bock. Fundamentally it’s a beer shop but it also functions as a bar, with four draught taps serving up some excellent German World Beer Cup winners when I visited. And the place was buzzing with both tourists and a predominantly young and enthusiastic local crowd. Probably around 60-70 different bottles in stock but it’s changing all the time, with the buyer personally sourcing stuff on regular trips. All but a handful were imported, mainly from Belgiujm, Germany and the USA (Cantillon, Hoepfner, Senne, Flying Dog, Left Hand, Paulaner all caught my eye) though the products of a couple of local Catalunyan craft brewers were on sale too, and I was told a cask of another’s draught beer is lined up, plus a consignment of bottles from the UK. The management team includes the Liverpool-born but longtime Barcelona-based beer expert and former microbrewer Steve Huxley, author of a comprehensive book on brewing and beer appreciation, ’La Cerveza...Poesía Líquida’, who is planning to run tutored tastings there.

Charming beer store in the heart of the city’s Gothic area. Excellent selection of European beers, including heaps of Cantillon, other Belgians and Spanish micros. I’ve done most of my beer-hunting in Australia and the UK, so there were dozens of beers here that I hadn’t seen before. Very busy on the Saturday night that we first visited, then closed for the rest of the Easter weekend, so check the opening hours if you’re thinking of delaying your shopping here.

The most interesting shop if you are in Barcelona; it was open just in August 2006 and they have 100 beers available, more to come. The selection is basically Belgian, but with good ones (thou not rare), such as Binchoise, the 3 versions of La Queue De Charrue, De Graal, and the quite rare Livinus Blonde. If you live in Barcelona this place is essential; if you are a tourist and your name is not Joris, you can still find a new beer.
