Visited on July 31st 2012. Place was almost empty around 4:30 PM on a Tuesday.
Ambiance is fair with nice art photography on walls.Service by waitress was excellent. Pretty knowledgeable and friendly with beautiful smile. Selection was fairly good with 8 beers on tap. nice place to stop by if you’re in Lac St-Jean. It was my 1st out of 4 breweries during my holidays.

This small, small-town brewpub has a very relaxed, pleasant and friendly athmosphere. They only had four beers on tap, but the Noire à l’avoine was very good. There’s definitely potential there.

Nourriture: Quelques grignotines disponible. (109e rating d’établissement)

A small-town brewpub whose goal will not be to push out brewing boundaries, but to offer regular, cleanly brewed products aimed at the local patrons. Their business motives involve producing all of their own ingredients at the farm, which adds charm to the already charming place. Welcoming interior with patrons who won’t by shy to involve you in their conversations (most likely in French though). Cleanly brewed, right on the style guidelines beers.

This brand new brewpub is located in a small building along Saint-Félicien’s main street. There aren’t that many streets in this village, so it’s kind of hard to miss it. The atmosphere is convivial, helped by the quaint size of the two rooms and their open concept. They had 4 beers on tap when we visited, and all of them were well-brewed and very drinkable. The only one to stand out complexity-wise (in my opinion) was the Oatmeal Porter (Noire à l’Avoine) what a fine pint that was. These guys are quite special too because they ultimately want to become completely autonomous. They are already growing their cereals and they will begin malting them next year. They have also started growing hops and they hope to get solid results in upcoming years. That being said, I do hope they send their beer down south (to Montreal or Quebec City) because it takes as much time to get to Saint-Félicien from Montreal as it takes to get down to Boston...And, well, Boston will win that competition every time. )
