The place looked airy with big open windows and was well decorated.
I understand that pop music might be the "safest" to play, but i do not want to hear it and especially at medium volume.
We ended up cancelling our order in mid-pour,told them that the pop music was too loud for us to enjoy ourselves, and walked less then 2 blocks where we had a few beers that might not be as good as La Succursale brews, but we had a good time nevertheless.

This is a bright and cheery brewpub not too far from the botanical gardens. The brewery appears to have an appreciation for German styles with weizens, alt, kolsch and even a gratzer on tap, but there was also an IPA and tripel for good measure. I grabbed a tasting flight and the beers were solid except for the kolsch which was poor. Small but tasty food menu with cheese and meat boards and basic grilled cheese sandwiches. A pleasant spot well away from downtown.

Popped in here to meet up with some friends who were visiting Montreal at the same time as we were. A really inviting bright spot. Lots of pale wood with light flooding in from the abundant windows surrounding the room. Friendly servers who were very patient with us (four adults and two babies). The beers range from okay to very good and the charcuterie and cheese plates were pretty solid as well. Feels more upscale than Dieu du Ciel. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the city.

Awesome brewpub in Montreal, close to the botanical gardens. A fairly small place, there is just one floor with a bunch of tables and room for 2 parties outside. The windows were all open to air out the place. At first very empty, then apparently quite a crowd showed up for the pre-release of a Quebec demon horror novel series (Malphas- which I had never heard of prior to now and even a quick wiki search did not yield much, yet every patron in the place, including the bartender, had purchased a copy of the book. However, although there were many, many people who stopped by to buy the book, almost all of them also stayed for a beer. Anyway, my experience here may be a bit different from usual...). Service was on the slow side, even when few patrons were there. But otherwise, I really enjoyed this place. All the beers I tried were excellent (citra APA, angus IPA, milacek Czech pils, bitter, and kolsch). There are 8 beers on tap which seem to rotate at least a little bit. The food menu is small- appetizer style- with a cheese plate, nachos, a few sandwich options, a meat plate (which I ordered and was very tasty), and a few other options. Chill atmosphere- music, no TVs. Overall, a must stop, as the beer selection is excellent.
