Fun place...really cool building inside and out...some funny sculptures outside...and especially love the huge front doors! This place is certainly a party atmosphere at times. It can get crowded quickly as it is the largest craft brewer in Milwaukee and they have a large tap room that accommodates sizable tour groups. As for the beers...average to good by my tastes. None of them was exceptional on the day I visited...even given I tried all their beers in flight sizes. Nonetheless I recommend a visit here if in the the place itself is worth the visit and a group of people would certainly have a good time here.

This is a very fun vibe. Basically a huge beer warehouse feel. Interesting collection of visitors, but it seems to attract new beer people who donít know anything about beer. The tour with 4 samples a glass is a good deal, but its nothing outside of the normal brewery tour. The beers are average at best. Despite being a fun place, I canít see myself visiting again.

An old warehouse converted into a brewery, this is a must stop if you want to go to a Milwaukee brewery. The tour itself is epic! Kudos to them for recently getting rid of the lawn chairs in the dining hall. Fish fry is pretty good, too.

Nice tour, though a bit long (winded). Some solid beers available for tasting after the tour. You get a nice pint glass to take home and add to the collection after the tour too.

Comments: Itís a popular place given its location and its ability to market well. Brewery tours are on the hour and cost money but you get beer tasters with the tour. Tour lasts for 45 min though and Iím told is quite the hilarious tour. Food available but we didnít try. Was able to order all the beers they have on tap in two tasting flights for $16 for 10 samplers. Served in plastic cups, ugh. Beers were underwhelming but none of them were bad. Only a couple, three at most, were tap only specials. So if you are local, it may not be very interesting. Overall, fun touristy stop but not necessarily a place I would recommend detouring for.

Very cool building with a huge beer hall. Lots of long tables. I highly recommend the tour - our guide, Ryan, was knowledgeable and entertaining. $7 tour includes 4 tasters, a pint glass to take home, and a voucher for one free beer at a large list of local bars.

Lakefront sits on the Milwaukee river front just north of downtown. Large 2 story building with the brewing on the first floor and a large beer hall on the second floor. They do serve food in the beer hall but I did not have any as I was just visiting to take the tour. For $7 you get a pint glass and 4 6 ounce pours. The tour is fun with part beer education and the other part comedy show. Itís supposed to be one of the better tours in the country and itís one of the better ones Iíve been on. They keep it light with areas along the tour to get refills on your beer. Lakefront beers are all above par and a few that were on tap were seasonals or experimential beers not yet released. Well worth the hour and money. The employees all seem to really enjoy their jobs and it shows with the enthusiastic tour.

This place just feels like somewhere youíre not only supposed to drink beer, but a place you want to drink beer. Itís truly a beer hall in pretty much every sense of the word, it could easily be the setting of a medieval feast, or a farmerís "hoe down." The staff is great, very passionate about beer, very knowledgeable about beer, they just seem to fully enjoy their jobs. Excellent selection too, pretty much every Lakefront Beer you could want (within season) is available. The only downside is I wish they wouldíve had a better glassware selection - they do sell glass boots and oversized steins along with the standard shaker, but I wouldnít really foresee drinking out of said boot or stein; theyíre more novelty items. $5 pints, $8 for a flight of 5 samples ... pretty good by midwest urban standards. The tour is excellent, but I personally just like the taproom aspect. I noticed during my most recent visit they serve food too (when did that start?) but I have not sampled their fare yet.

Easily, the Animal House of brewery tours in WI! Great people, great tour guides, and one of the best fish fry in the city. Great place to hangout, grab a bite, or just go on a tour.

Cool tour. Make a reservation for a tour time of youíre smart. Very large ballroom seating area loaded with tables. 2 very overwhelmed bartenders and tap stations. This place is pretty much always packed, but somehow thereís always room. Adequate selection. Good Milwaukee atmosphere.
