Stopped for breakfast before plane leaving to New York and Helsinki. Breakfast menu was very english type with egg and bacon. Egg, bacon, mushrooms and tomato. Egg, bacon, spam, mushrooms and spam. Spam, bacon, egg and spam. Spam, spam and bacon. But it was OK. 4 regular beer on tap 4 seasonal. Very good airport beer bar from my point of view.

Stopped by here on my layover in PDX. The service was great at 0600. Was able to grab seven samples since the season was out. Breakfast was great as well. When in PDX make sure you grab a beer here.

Two of these in odd, I went to the one in terminal A. Small airport bar as usual. The staff here seems jolly and fairly prompt deposits being swamped. I have two beers no food. Beers we good, tasty. Had growlers to go and a box with two bombers, a shirt and two glasses. For an airport bar the value was decent. Outside of airport, not so much. I still have like 4 hours to kill for my flight so I will prob check the other one so what ever.

For an airport location, this was rather nice. The bar is set far enough in where you can kinda forget about the airport noise. They have a really tasty black bean chili, and a fair price on the sampler tray which features all eight of their tapped beer for $10 (roughly 3oz pours). Friendly staff too, and knowledgeable about their beers.

First stop in the airport as it was near our departure gate (wanted to find where it was). Had lunch since we left in the morning from Orange County and it was about lunch time by the time we arrived.
Kind of an odd set up as the main dining area is a tiny little block just outside several gates and there are also some high top bar tables on the wall opposite the walkway. A mass of humanity in a small area.
Service from the older woman working the dining room was a bit impatient and surly, particularly since we had to wait quite awhile to even get a menu or anything. Oh well... The food and beverages here are really reasonably priced, particularly since itís an airport.
They had eight beers on tap during my visit--four regular/year rounds and four special/seasonal beers. I got a set of all eight and it was somehow only $10. I donít think itís normally that cheap, but Iíll take it. Food (burger) was pretty decent as well and not all that expensive.
As far as airport bars go, this is probably one of the best Iíve been to...if you can get passed the lack of space/comfort/ambiance.

By their nature, most airport bars are going to score pretty low on the "ambiance" scale. and service can be pretty slow, but Iíve definitely had slower. But the beers were fresh, and the garlic fries were garlicky (which, in retrospect, may not have been the best choice right before a long flight...).

Grabbed a quick morning pint of porter before my flight. Not much too say, other than it beats the majority of other airport bars that all have the same dross on tap.

While walking to the gate to wait for a flight I happened to find this. Granted it was 10am but itís never too early for a place tick. If I had known this was here I wouldnít have eaten breakfast. They only had 4 beers on tap when I was there and they were all regulars but they did have the Workhorse IPA. The atmosphere here is a bit strange as this bar is pretty much right in the gate so right near your table are people waiting for their flight out in the boarding area. Prices are a bit high on food but the beer was pretty reasonable. I could think of worse ways to wait for a flight.

(Visited 05/2013): The Laurelwood in PDX is located in Concourse A right in the gate area. There was some construction going on in the area during our visit.
The place does what it can as far as decor in an airport. Nice signage facing the seating area outside, and inside there are some tables and a small bar with a large logo mirror and a view of their taps.
The PDX Laurelwood has 8 of their beers on draught and they are available in a sampler tray. These include mostly flagship beers with perhaps a seasonal or two. On my visit this included Portlandia Pils, Space Stout, Workhorse IPA and one of the Pale Project beers. Overall the beers are solid.
Service for an airport restaurant was decent. The server was somewhat knowledgeable about the beers and was attentive.
Food at this location was pretty good. Our lunches were enjoyable.
Overall this is about the best a beer lover could hope for in an airport brewpub.
