64 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 10/20 cyrenaica (9) Milton, Ontario | July 6, 2009 It’s a liquor store with a great selection, otherwise there isn’t a whole lot to say. Not much ambience due to it’s nature. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 DuffMan (218) the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta | August 14, 2012 It’s an LCBO, so really what can be said? Layout is nothing special, service was mixed: the first person I asked for help was indifferent and pre-occupied, which admittedly annoyed the shit out of me. As an Ontarian, I’d be pissed that my tax dollars are paying that lazy fucks salary! But subsequent interactions were much more positive. So I’m givinganything solid 6 for service. Selection shines here, for an LCBO anyway. | 64 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 12/20 Radek Kliber (171) Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Poland | July 25, 2012 One of better LCBOs. They usually do care hard to get limited release brews. Service was spotty, sometimes great sometimes cold. Typical LCBO value which is fairly good. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 15/20 kevinsenn (40) Waterloo, Ontario | November 30, 2011 Wow! Incredible beer selection from this LCBO. Not as cool of a building as the Summerhill store, but the selection seems just as good. Some finds here that I haven’t seen anywhere else, plus all the regulars. Strange location, though. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 11/20 solidfunk (100) Ontario | November 20, 2011 Toronto’s source of beerish wealth. If you can’t find it here, you can’t find it in a licbo, pretty much. Plus, this one has plenty of extra goodies - all under one roof. Fitting that Toronto’s biggest beer store is next to the building of Canada’s biggest newspaper - there has to be someone buying all that beer from this inconvenient location. Ambiance is a delightful shopping mallish glow. | 76 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 6/10 OVERALL 17/20 RayOhm (32) Fergus, Ontario | November 5, 2011 the best LCBO in Ontario, I couldnt believe the selection here compared to my local BO. the only problem... its in Toronto | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 14/20 JesseM (42) Ottawa, Ontario | August 21, 2011 Great Lickbow. Largish store in an old industrial building next to their big distribution center, so this place has virtually everything you could want from the Lickbow. Very cool experience for someone only visiting Toronto from somewhere else in Ontario. Big beer section in the back is crammed with good, and not so good stuff. Service was your typical apathetic LCBO CSR. Not much in that department. If I lived in Toronto I would be at this place every day. | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 18/20 matt7215 (63) Cambridge, Ontario | April 15, 2011 the best lcbo in the province IMO. best place to find the best of what the lcbo brings in. highly reccommended if in TO. | 62 AMBIANCE 2/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 14/20 JoeMcPhee (466) Toronto, ON, Ontario | January 11, 2011 The biggest LICKBO in town and it’s likely the place to get what you want. It’s not exactly well laid out and I won’t even get into the LCBO as a corporate entity, but if you want something in Toronto, this is the most likely place to get it. Although seeing Schlenkerla and Orval at less than 4 bucks a bottle certainly does have it’s advantages - I’d still prefer more selection. | 72 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 14/20 ontbeermaker (157) Ontario | January 7, 2011| Updated November 5, 2011 For an LCBO this is probably the best there is. It is large and it has the biggest selection of any LCBO I have seen. | 80 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE N/A OVERALL 15/20 jimmay (22) Waterloo, Ontario | October 8, 2010| Updated November 5, 2011 This is rated compared to other LCBO’s, not beer stores in general. Dropped in here a few times, when picking up private orders next door. Always has something that I haven’t found before in my local LCBOs. Best beer selection for any LCBO I’ve ever been to. Good knowledgeable staff and helpful too!! |
