Nice bar located close to downtown and easily accessible. I was there during a hockey game which create a weird atmosphere. The barmen was actually working the crowd with his microphone. Service was quite good even though the place was packed. The selection is quite interesting with a bunch of beers brewed on site with some good QC micros and very interesting imports. Food was actually quite good with huge plate and fair prices. I must admit that some of the beers were off and I am wondering if it is due to the lack of cleanliness of the draft line. I would revisit but maybe not the first place I would hit when I am in town.

A really cool place, over 20 beers on tap about 50% were from Saint-Bock. Nice food, burgers and pub stuff. The beers were mostly quite good, and they did samplers of everything. It was nice all the beers on tap had a number and the samplers did as well, making it easy to know what you’re drinking. Great service. A very good bar.

the snotty girl at the bar saw fit to chase me down to tell me that the service wasn’t included in the price- such a callous demand for a tip while her other co-worker crowded the bar was a complete turnoff that will ensure I never set foot in their lame dive again, and encourage other beer lovers to follow my lead.

Not that amazing a place. Definitely not the best pub in the neighbourhood, l’Amere a Boire and Cheval Blanc are just around the corner and far more worth the while. Beer selection is decent for Quebec microbrews. Housebrews leave much to be desired. Very interesting selection of imported beers, however, the price is borderline outrageous sometimes.

Nice enough place. Spacious, plenty of beers on draft - both their own and other micros and international beers. I wasn’t very impressed with their beers however. Not a place I’d go out of the way to hit.

Great pub with excellent selection of beer made on place, from Quebec and from around the world. Probably the most varied and interesting selection in the country. Service is a major flaw.

Great selection of top notch brews. The hosue brews are hit and miss, but the food is fantastic. Best chciken fingers (baked) that i have ever had. The place is a little confused with odd rules / explanations of why they can only serve higher ABV brews in smaller glasses. They match only on ABV, not on style.

This place is defiantly a beer bar. The atmosphere is cozy, high ceiling, lounge areas, and a wide selection of bottles on the wall. At the back of the bar is a window that overlooks the brewing system. The beers on tap were alright, but do not let this fool you, I’ve had some pretty crazy beers from this place. I think i just went there on the wrong day. The server was very nice, but by her self, so she was running around, not really chatting with her tables. I felt bad for her, but i think she did a great job! The food was a cross breed between Mexican and pubgrub. I recommend ordering the Nachos - they were quite tasty.

Nice place and they occasionnaly brew some interesting monster beers. 20 taps or casks, some from other local micros. For a place in Québec, they have a lot of european private importation beers (something like 200 I cannot buy in a store here), and Jolly Pumpkin at 25$ for a 750ml, my personal highlight of my afternoon there. Cozy place, many big screens, the food I had was good but pricey. Good oven-baked fries. I like this place. Considering the food, the quality of their own brews, the imports and the Hopfenstark Station 16 on tap my girlfriend was very happy I chosed for her, I now prefer this place to L’Amère à Boire.

Part of BeerQuest 2010. My kind of bar. What an awesome place... wish I stopped here in 2009. In a cool neighborhood, the Latin Quatier. Atmosphere is very relaxing.. not crowed, wooded, ample seating, modern, lounge-like even, and they had bon iver’s entire album playing. Bathroom vending machines were clutch. While the house beers are slightly above average for Quebec, it’s a good place to try interesting bottles not available in the US.
