This place is defiantly a beer bar. The atmosphere is cozy, high ceiling, lounge areas, and a wide selection of bottles on the wall. At the back of the bar is a window that overlooks the brewing system. The beers on tap were alright, but do not let this fool you, I’ve had some pretty crazy beers from this place. I think i just went there on the wrong day. The server was very nice, but by her self, so she was running around, not really chatting with her tables. I felt bad for her, but i think she did a great job! The food was a cross breed between Mexican and pubgrub. I recommend ordering the Nachos - they were quite tasty.

Nice place and they occasionnaly brew some interesting monster beers. 20 taps or casks, some from other local micros. For a place in Québec, they have a lot of european private importation beers (something like 200 I cannot buy in a store here), and Jolly Pumpkin at 25$ for a 750ml, my personal highlight of my afternoon there. Cozy place, many big screens, the food I had was good but pricey. Good oven-baked fries. I like this place. Considering the food, the quality of their own brews, the imports and the Hopfenstark Station 16 on tap my girlfriend was very happy I chosed for her, I now prefer this place to L’Amère à Boire.

Part of BeerQuest 2010. My kind of bar. What an awesome place... wish I stopped here in 2009. In a cool neighborhood, the Latin Quatier. Atmosphere is very relaxing.. not crowed, wooded, ample seating, modern, lounge-like even, and they had bon iver’s entire album playing. Bathroom vending machines were clutch. While the house beers are slightly above average for Quebec, it’s a good place to try interesting bottles not available in the US.

Very nice and cozy place.
extensive beer selection but a bit pricey.
Food was good and service also.
The house beers are average to me.
would definitely go back.

this is one of the best beer bars i’ve ever been too. quite comfortable, with large chairs and fireplaces, and many tables. i had the sampler of every draft beer, and was impressed. the cheese plate was great too. i went november 2008, and look forward to going again.

Excellent place for a beer connoisseur. A selection of 5 or 6 house brews supplemented by the beers of other microbrews on the rest of the 18 taps. I have been going here since they opened 3 years ago and their own brews are continually improving. Unlike a lot of brewpubs they are constantly changing the styles they brew which obviously leads to varying degrees of success but I have drank some great beers here and you have to respect the desire to experiment.

Belle place bien située bon choix de bière tant invitée que brassée sur place. Il y a des bières d’importation privées qui ne sont pas données. La bouffe est bonne et variée. L’endroit est bien situé tout près du centre-ville près des transports en commun.

A place I visit on every trip to Montreal. The selection is impressive, but understand that distribution of US micros is limited in QC. This is a notation from those from the US wanting their favorite from home. But certainly not an issue. Just relax and choose from the myriad offerings from QC, France, and Belgium and be happy that you stumbled into, and likely out of, this place. A great place for a beer and a chat.

I came here on a early spring weekday. It was about 55 degrees F and sunny, so it was a perfect day to sit in the sun and do some reading. I had several pints of several hours, which was enjoyable. The service was a little slow, which was a bit annoying at times. They had a nice list of Quebec microbrews and some of their own. The interior of this place is very orange. There is a crowded patio with plenty of tables and chairs as you walk in. The bar is toward the back with some booths. The bathroom is actually down in the basement, which seems like a really bad idea. Thankfully, there are condom dispensers in it. Re-Rate---just visited again. The food is OUTSTANDING. Great menu, and great portions along with great presentation. A huge thumbs-up. The drawback from this latest visit is the really loud music...primarily rap. It was difficult to converse. Service was a bit slow.

Full of black, red, and copper, this place almost hints at steam punk decor, especially with the big gear lights above the bar. Beautiful space. Even more beautiful is the tap list with 18 draft pours, with a little under half being their own. Others are a nice selection of the best of Quebec, including a few I can’t seem to find in bottles in the local markets. Prices are amazingly good (1.55 to 2.50 for nice sample pours). Food is very good, especially given the space they’re working with, and also pretty reasonable price wise. Service can be a little slow unless you make sure to catch their attention, but it’s mostly that everyone there seems to be running around doing tables and the bar. Bottles are expensive, but take that as a cue to drink the tap selections.
