Definite local kimd of place, which is a very nice change of pace from all the touristy crap around the Riverwalk. Not sure if they serve food - I donít see any. Beer selection is OK, some basic macro, some decent micros, one excellent choice in the Sam Adams Tasman Red.

Sadly, if you are staying in the Riverwalk area and do not have unlimited ground transportation, there is not a wealth of good beer to be found. While Leapiní Lizard is not anyone using this siteís definition of an awesome beer bar, it is IMO one of the few places for the Conventioneer to have a few craft beers that are not entirely off the macro list. For example, when I was there, they carried a couple of the seasonal New Belgium beers, Maredsous 8, Full Sail amber, and Firemanís #4 on tap. While the jaded among us will find the selection here to be rather pedestrian, from what I can tell, this is about as good as it gets in the Riverwalk.

I love hole-in-the-walls. This is the best bar Iíve been to in San Antonio. True they donít have any local brews or any IPAs on tap. However, in a town with expensive corporate b.s. drinking for the most part, this is a cool place. Mostly locals, too, so thatís a plus. They donít have their own food but thereís plenty of choices very close.
