Owner assaulted my girlfriend
The owner of the Leon Pub physically assaulted my girlfriend at a nearby establishment, last night. I was very shocked to hear that he pulled a chair out from under her at the bar with no provocation. He exclaimed, "I canít believe that you would sit in my chair", while sitting in an adjacent chair. She had no interaction with this guy at all. In fact she was about to be friendly and say hello while ordering a beverage, like a normal human being. This guy is nuts and the Leon Pub should not be patronized. We are considering legal action.

Smoke filled dive bar with a good bottle selection. Down side is that some of them might be extremely dated. Vintage signs, pool tables, darts and a crappy back porch give this bar itís charm. Definitely stop by if youíre looking for something a little different in the Tallahassee area.

I love a good dive bar, and thatís exactly what you get walking into Leon Pub. A little bit dingy, a little cramped, of course they allow smoking, and there are all sorts of locals hanging out, trying to escape the college scene the rest of the town has. A great selection, somewhere north of 35 taps, depending on what is in stock, with a few that rotate and a few that never do. Also, well over 150 bottles in the 6 doors worth of coolers. Prices are relatively average, but you might expect them to be cheaper considering the ambiance. Iíve only ever been on weekdays, so I canít say how crowded it gets on a busy bar night. Knowledgeable enough staff, but not the biggest of beer geeks - one tried to offer me Sweetwater 420 as an IPA on draft. A decent place to get a pint at a bar that isnít infested with a whole lot of college kids.

This place is my favorite dive. The dart board is never crowded (although it is getting a bit worn nowadays), and the fact that they allow smoking is a big plus for me. Plus, they have places to charge your phone if it runs out of battery. Very useful. Parking can be a hassle, but within walking distance down sixth street there is public parking for The Wine Loft etc..
Also, one cannot forget the beer selection. There are SO MANY to choose from, from all around the world. This bar has around 30 drafts and hundreds of bottles. It would be pretty hard to get tired of any particular style here; for example I could drink a different IPA each time I come and forget what the first one tasted like by the time I try them all!
The bartenders are very helpful and knowledgeable. It can be overwhelming trying to decide what to drink, but the servers will know whats best and help you find it.
tl;dr: Smoking is allowed, amazing selection, helpful bartenders.

The Leon Pub. I used to live here before proof opened. I still do go back from time to time for a change of pace and its always the same. Its a dive bar with a crazy atmosphere and knowledgeable staff with a great selection. I smoke so I think that its awesome you can smoke inside lol but for those of you who it bothers., they did clear out one of the rooms next door an now there are a number of tables and chairs in there to sit at and most of the smoke stays at the other side of the bar. Lots of taps 35 or so an a bottle selection of about 100+/-. Healthy mix of Euro stuff and american craft. Prices are average for almost everything but theres always some oddly expensive stuff and oddly cheap stuff. The MENU here never changes but the taps do. Oh and parking kinda sucks.

Leon Pub, the original place to get a decent pint and have an interesting night. It definitely is worth a visit if you havenít been yet. Stagnant beer list and a limited bottle selection will keep the enthusiast from returning though. Always decent prices and good service make it a nice place to visit if you donít mind the dive bar aspect and smelling like smoke when you leave.

The original craft brew pub for Tally. Gets very smoky and you never know who you will meet here, which can be good or not so good. Very clean beer lines, even though the place looks dirty.

Awesome selection of beer. A ton of bottles and taps. Me the owner - great fellow, super nice. Doesnít look like much on the outside. A bit of a hole in the wall, but isnít that what you expect from a great beer bar?

Oh Leon Pub, you dirty dive bar how I love you. I cannot walk out of that place without smelling like a cigarette. Probably 30 taps, a nice bottle list, prices reasonable. No food. A dive with decent beer. Great vintage signs all over the place. A must stop, even for the curiosity factor.

A bit small for the amount of people that go here, but great selection and very competitive prices. Just have to be careful when you decide to go.
