I was few time ago with friends and at several oportunities. I simply don’t like this place. It is an industry and the service is unpersonnal. The staff changes a lot and I think that it is a sign that the conditions of job are not good. They scream each others and the atmosphere seems not really good. The beers are not the best and
it is just marketing. In the french part of Switzerland there is a real lack of real pubs with good beers.
Wood-paneled brewpub that channels a very tired 90s vibe. I think they’re trying to go for an Irish pub feel, but what the fuck do I know. Anyway, the place feels pretty similar to Molard. Les Brasseurs is located directly across from Geneva’s main train station, so it seems to attract a pretty weird cocktail of travelers, transients, and scoundrels. The menu’s layout was very confusing, so I’m unsure of how many beers were actually on offer. In addition to normal pour sizes, they serve beers in 3 liter towers. You could really go to town here if you had a death wish. I opted for a five beer sampler of the core selection. The beers were generally sub-par; very sweet and samey across the board. The IPA wasn’t terrible. It probably benefited from the fact that I had it after suffering through a number of their worst offerings. Prices were OK by Geneva standards. Service was curt. Overall, I can’t give this place much of a recommendation. Consider stopping in if you’re changing trains or desperately need to use their free wifi. Otherwise, you can probably find better things to do with your time.
Big brewpub/restaurant right across from Gare Cornavin. You can’t miss it. It’s really crowded, which creates a bit of a harried, frenetic air. So not the best place for a relaxed beer. They offered five of their own beers: a blonde, witbier and an amber, plus a strong brown ale and a fruit beer. I didn’t have time for the degustation (5 x 100ml beers for 12.50 Fr), so I went for 250 ml of the strong brown (Doubble B) for 5.20 Fr. Enjoyable enough and you’ll get some ticks that are unique to this place.
Great place with not too wide selection of beers; if it was located any other place of the world, I would say that it is extremely overpriced - as it is here in Geneva I just simply say that it is definitely overpriced
In front of the main station Cornavin. Corporate brewpub at best with an irish type of setting. Was able to sit outside and managed to get bothered by two junkies. Average to below service, unintersted. Just ordered the sampler, some good ones especially the ambrée and the double malt, food was just way overpriced but that’s just Geneva in general.
For a better option, best to grab a beer to go at Beers of the World.
